When is the last time we had a decent QB day in/out other than Cam/Marshall? I’m thinking Brandon Cox?

Shitty QB play has been the downfall of Auburn Football.

I'd put it about 99.9% that Thorne will be the starter next week. It's baffling.

I can't put it all in him, on that drive that he was intercepted on, the drive felt very rushed and it didn't to be, it needed to be thought out and smart. We shouldn't have just ran the ball, as soon as I saw the empty set I knew things could go awful

Thorne is making a fortune betting against us.

The bad thing is if he’d have put some air on the ball, the WR had broken free. Instead, he tries to throw a line drive in the middle of the field.

I thought the same thing Jville, with 5 wide and a blitz, when he released it I thought he was just going to lob it over their heads and someone was headed for the house....I was right....just the wrong team heading to the house.

So we pay a portal QB 1.5 million and we don’t sign some of the WRs or O linemen? When he gets body bagged or throws it to the Shed Jacksons of the world only to be dropped or not even get open. Then what? Is that still Hugh’s fault? We had too many needs that a good QB would never be able to cover up so we had to take a meal piece approach.

Agreed singlemalt. There was an article a few years back about Archie Manning and in the past 18 months he had had three major surgeries, back, knee, hip, to go along with dozens he had had in his life. And then I think about the Saints having to draft that running QB out of Ole Miss, with absolutely no supporting cast and that poor fella just getting crushed week after week.

Yeah, but our QBs have been atrocious and he's never even mentioned and all the talk is about how we have to bring in a QB next year as if he doesn't even exist. He's obviously not inspiring confidence in anyone inside the program.

Randy, Ive found this quite odd as well. Just the ole "he is a freshman, his head is spinning". Its always bothered me he went to a small school and his completion percentage was so low.

Hugh has done nothing but find ways to lose since he’s got here so maybe the QB doesn’t matter

^this

High makes Les Miles look like a game management genius.

Yesterday was pathetic. The clock becomes an ally when up 2 scores. Run the ball to run the clock.

Also, take points when you can in first half. You can’t win the game in the first quarter, but you can set up to lose it.

The first score is the hardest. Take 3 early.

Once again CHF CHEWED Thorne out for not running the ball on the RPO plays. He should have pulled him there.

Goal line at home, I’m going for it too

Coleman was WIDE open in the flat. Thorne once again didn’t see him.

Play calling has been fine. The only thing you can blame CHF on is not bringing in anyone in the portal.

Nick Fairly love child breaks down Peyton’s film weekly and eats him alive. Guys open all day; he just fails to see it.

This is all on Freeze! Poor clock management at the end of the first half and rushed a walk in Freshman kicker on the field who had to hurry a kick and thus missed

He got a free rekick and missed.

Hunter is the best player on the field. Run the fricking ball. Freeze has to own this too.

This can’t be stated enough. Coaches put people in positions to be successful. Asking a struggling QB to bomb it on 3rd and long instead of running it and playing defense is on the coach.

If Freeze had wanted to run the ball, why not just call a "run" play? Surely they exist in that magnificent offense.

Who called the play? Hugh gave him the pass option. We have QB helmet communication this year. Tell him not to pass. CHF chewing Thorne out doesn’t absolve the poor play call to even be in that position.

Jarquez made Stutsman and the rest of OU’s D look like the Big 12 players that they are all game, and Hugh put the game in Thorne’s hands instead.

Everything was pretty good till the 4th quarter, then HF and PT went brain dead. We could find the silver lining in that if Freeze hadn’t burned through so much goodwill with NMSU, Alabama, Maryland, Cal, Arkansas before this.

How is Colorado 4-1 with the players they have (after thrasing Gus 48-21) a better football program than Auburn 2-3?

That pick 6 was on Freeze. We know Thorne panics when a blitz is coming and we put him in a 5 wide empty set. Moronic coaching call there. Again, we know what Thorne does in those situations.

Are you running wildcat with backup WR as obvious run?

Or what is your play?

Some times common sense should prevail. There was a reason that Michigan State let Thorne walk without any resistance........they knew and so should've Hugh.
