Or the third coming of D Barfield.

Two things are true- AU fans are going to do what we do under these circumstances. Half will freak and call for his head before he coaches a game and half will defend him as if he just took us to the playoffs before he’s coached his first game. It’s a fun tradition. Truth is it’s all prognostication until we see some game action in 8 months.

No discipline on the team, now we know why they underperformed every year.

Crazy we only heard this after they spurn us and leave but they were great for the last two years. I’d believe it but there’s not enough evidence to find it credible yet. Just comes off a now the girl that spurned you and said she’s not going to prom with you isn’t as attractive.

As gratifying as it would be to believe these reports are true, the timing indicates "sour grapes"

Sure you can look at it like that and you can also see it being true.

The simple truth is the players want to move on and that is their choice. The days of committing to a school seem like a million years ago.

Just wish them the best and hope they leave the SEC or that they stay in the SEC and end up sucking

The rumors are just counter-productive and it seems bad form to disparage the guys who we all liked until last week.

Something I am wondering. They were discussing Cam leaving on the Rant. Video of MikeG saying Golesh talked with him and Cam just didn't connect, see the vision, whatever and it wasn't about money.

Here is what has me perplexed. If it wasn't about money with these guys, how did they connect with a scumbag POS human like Freeze and his outdated, complete garbage fire offense, but they can't connect with a guy that seems decent and has run a very successful offense. I don't get it.

These rumors are counterproductive and seem to disparage a football program that was liked until last week... Am I doing this right?

Sounds like it WAS about the money, they just don’t want to admit it.

Yea, I think it is just posturing by Mike G. Ultimately, what is being offered by someone else trumps our offer + vision and all that stuff he is saying. I think that is just Mike G saying he isn't leaving because we just are refusing to pay him. We are offering a big time raise but at some point there is a limit.

The new HC is not the guy who brought them in and they chose to leave. I just don't see why it is more than that.

I mean, every player, family, etc. has different goals, energy, preferences. Freeze was really good in the living room of certain type people, there is no denying it. Golesh seems a whole heck of a lot different than Freeze in every conceivable way.

The golden rule of life is, if money is an equation in the formula, then in the end, it is always about the money.

Yeah. And I dont think either is right or wrong, but you have to translate to wins with whatever approach you use.

The dead giveaway is when someone specifies "it's not about the money"

Hugh could sell a ketchup popsicle to a women in white gloves.

It’s why he was great at fundraising.
He also let these kids get away with basically anything and face very few repercussions.

Golesh isn’t going to do that for better or worse.

I haven’t met Golesh yet, but I’ve met Hugh on multiple occasions and he has a way of making you feel seen and heard that a lot of coaches don’t have.
