He also mentions on the board that there’s a likely chance he goes pro instead. But his CB is for Auburn if he decides to go to college

Interesting. I thought Green already decided to go to college instead of going pro. Obviously could have changed his mind either way.
Isn’t going pro an option for CB predictions?

That would suck

Green may have changed his mind, it was very recently when he said he wanted to go to school and not play overseas though.
Should be noted that he didn’t predict him to go pro either. That’s a win. I’ve seen a couple players CBed to go pro in basketball from HS.

He brought up Green’s statement about going to college. Thon Maker is his example/comparison.

Places like New Zealand are becoming very attractive, especially to top draft picks.
- Very well run league
- Lots of former NBA players involved in ownership
- Speak Kiwi English
- Pays $100k+ Salary (potentially higher depending on quality)
Also, NBA pays a standard contract buyout of $800k for top draft picks. So for an elite near lock pick like Jalen Green, paying say a 1yr $300k isn't unreasonable
Considering how NZ is positioning themselves, players don't face nearly as much risk as being forgotten if they leave for NZ/overseas

When you put it like that I don’t know why he would choose Auburn.

Probably easier to maintain and build a brand stateside, even at the college level

The kid who turned down Kansas and went to NZ... RJ Hampton... got hurt and is now back stateside. I’m sure the 100k is sweet... but so would be playing for a top 5 team and actually having people watch your games.

If his brand grows at Auburn similar to Zion’s we will be much indebted to him.

I might cry if this doesn’t happen

100k is way overrated. Doesn’t go very far at all.
