Anyone watching the Bama Gonzaga game?

82-72 Bama 2:43 left in 2H.
Feeling conflicted about it but it will be better for our SOS if Bama wins.

Yep, objectively it’s better that they won. Same with uga and OM beating Memphis, even though Memphis is going to end up tumbling in the metrics by the end of the year.

Bama will run Kessler off the court. But I think we can run Bama off the court with a small ball lineup of our own.. Jasper-KD-Flanigan-Smith-Jaylin

I still think we can use Kessler, we just can’t switch with him. The recipe for beating them is running them off the three and daring them to score down low. They’ll likely matchup Bediako on him since he’s the only guy with any size and he’s not a threat to score from range.

I agree with you though that Jaylin will need to step up and play a good bit of 5 for us that one. I’m really curious to see what they do defensively with Jabari and Flanigan (if he’s back to his self). Ellis is the closest thing they have to Herb but he's not on that level. Very few NBA guys are on Herb’s level though.

This team is a fun watch. It will get harder when we get into SEC play, but I have enjoyed watching them up to this point. We still take our foot off of the neck at times, but Bruce will improve this team as the season goes along. This is the deepest team Pearl has had at Auburn. We could have another special season on our hands.

This is just my semi-annual "Thank God for Bruce Pearl" comment.

Loyola beat previously unbeaten DePaul last night

Syracuse beat Florida State to end their 24 game home win streak (they were trying to tie Duke's ACC record of 25)

Both of those games should help us out

Auburn is a better team with Kessler on the court. He doesn’t score a ton and if he doesn’t shoot another three I’m good, but his defense and rebounding is very strong.

You run bama off the 3pt line and make them drive and score over Kessler.

Agreed but I don’t think that will be the case against Bama. One strength of this Auburn team is its ability to be multiple

Most of you are going to be too young to get this one but oh well. I think the only solution to the competing threads is for GC and Corch fight to the death with the winners thread being pinned and the losers anchored.

Please make one then. Corch’s is fine and his effort to update isnt disputed, so if his thread isn’t received only because of the poster who created, then that can be easily fixed

Maybe basketball gets multiple threads? Cats and dogs, living together in the mad, mad world.
