Same story with the FB guys earlier this semester, not anymore.

Notes:
1. Chris Moore looks like a totally different athlete. Think he will help us win some games this year.
2. Off night for Zep. Wendell picked up his slack. Especially until AF is back, we need at least 1 of those 2 to bring it every night.
3. Jabari will have nights he really struggles but man he has some talent
4. Our three main 1’s and 2’s can flat out fly

He really did. He seemed so much quicker. His defense definitely has improved because of it. Hope he can really settle into being a true 3.

Never been worried about the front court. If our back court keeps that up though we'll be a nasty piece of work for anyone in the country.

The only concern last night was a small scoring drought at the beginning of the 2nd, but they’re clearly still learning how to play together. I think by the time SEC play rolls around it’ll be lights out

I think Pearl mentioned that the first half the players came out so energy pumped bc of the first large crowd and the first game of the season.

He said they kinda of burned out some from so much energy that after half=time that they then came out flat, so that accounted for the lull, until they finally picked it back up and dominated the last 7 minutes of the game...

Team looked great and was flying around in the first half. The definitely looked a little off in the second half and got a little three happy. Would be nice to see them get it inside to Kessler a bit more on the offensive side of things, if they can do that then this team really will be lethal.

Loved seeing the team defense in this game. They were aggressive and smothering in the first half (only 9 points allowed with less than 5 minutes to go in the first half). They let up a bit after that but hopefully that was because of conditioning and will be able to maintain that level of play throughout games. All around a pretty dominant effort.

The defense at the beginning of the game was phenomenal. They could barely get a shot up.

How many blocks did Kessler end up with?

6 and he altered too many shots to count.

I'd also like to add that it was nice to see one of our big men actually not drop/fumble the ball when it was sent his way. There was one pass to Kessler that I remember seeing him throw a hand up and kind of block it down to himself. I feel like in past years that would've just been a turnover but he snagged that thing and turned it into an easy dunk.

If Al comes back 100 percent healthy and everyone stays healthy this is probably Bruce's deepest most talented team. it'll all be about chemistry

It has been said that he has better hands than our starting wide receivers.
I’m just saying.

This team has all the pieces needed to win it all. It's just a matter of staying/getting healthy, learning to play together and sharing the ball offensively.

I want the same refs from last night for the rest of the season. Not once did I bitch about a call & did either team get into the bonus?

It was actual basketball instead of a free throw contest w/ the occasional passing.

Plays much more into Pearl’s defensive style too. Anyone know points of emphasis or rule changes I didn’t know about for the refs this year? Maybe I missed something
