To me, in modern basketball, I don't think either of them can defend at that position

This is my concern as well, unless we run more zone with them there and make guys shoot over all that length.

Hell no. Thor was/is desperate for his next step before he's ready, so how realistic would it be to expect to see him here as a junior? Even UNC fans are recognizing Auburn as a pipeline right now. Kessler could easily head into the draft after a big season, or even without a stellar one. Kind of like in baseball when you have a key starter returning from injury, and wonder what you're going to do with 6-7 guys that deserve to be in the rotation. An injury or some bs always happens. Best not to worry about it too much.

I highly doubt Thor is here after next year if he returns and if Kessler had a solid year then he’s also a candidate to declare as well. If he is patient and embraces his role this year then he will be rewarded next year.

Sills wants to play at Auburn but we have guys higher on the board with Scoot and Tyty. Tyty isn't close to making a decision though and offers from Baylor and Kansas made things interesting.

Kentucky is pressing him as well. Talk about a recruitment blowing up...

We were one of the early schools to offer last summer. Hopefully that factors in here assuming our offer is commitable.

Stretch is more likely.

Stretch is from an important school. Bet he stays as long as he wants to. Maybe he’s looking for playing time?

I don't think he stays just bc he is from an important school. It's not like he was an elite recruit. he was only a 3 star player. He also doesn't have his best friend, in Sharife to support him at AU.

While, I think he is a very liked fellow in the locker room, he may stay bc, after only 1 year w Jabari and Kessler, we could lose both to the NBA. And at least Stretch would still be there as a solid backup for the next 2 years...

Counting scholarships(13), if Thor stays, and we bring in Alexander, Jabari, Zep, Greene, and leave 1 open for Scoot, that gives us still room for 1 more scholarship right?
In that case, even w 3 centers, we have room for Stretch. Now it's up to him if he is happy losing playing time...

what a turn of events that would be. Could you imagine Kessler playing WR for the Titans? Oofta.

True. I'm sick of Bruce having 1st round NBA picks. It'll open up recruiting when he has a track record of having first round picks in two sports

If Thor stays and we keep a spot open for Scoot, we are full at 13.

1. Green
2. Jasper
3. Alexander
4. Spot for Scoot
5. Flanigan
6. Cambridge
7. Moore
8. Williams
9. Smith
10. Thor
11. Kessler
12. Cardwell
13. Stretch

Geez, How could I forget Kessler. Thanks.

I probably thought he was too tall for the NFL.

Does Wesley Cardet know he committed to Samford and not Stanford??

He is the #60 player in the class.

Can we not sign Bucky to be HCIW?

His uncle coaches there. This day and age may be a good idea to be a big fish in a small pond.

That’s pretty cool. Still don’t think it was smart for him. They probably won’t make it to the tournament. Probably have not been to one in decades.

Does anyone know if JT Thor has actually hired an agent thus far? Or is he still just testing NBA waters?
