Stretch is from an important school. Bet he stays as long as he wants to. Maybe he’s looking for playing time?

I don't think he leaves, but he may want to go elsewhere for more PT. That's how he develops.

Believe it or not...and this is MY OPINION...Cardwell is a little better than Stretch right now and has room to continue to improve, BUT Stretch has WAAAAY more upside than Cardwell. More athletic, quick feet, better shot blocker, and I've seen Stretch hit jumpers on the pick & pop. He's really raw but I see lots to work with.

Mark my words. If he keeps working hard, he's gonna be good. If I see this, I know Bruce does.

Does Wesley Cardet know he committed to Samford and not Stanford??

He is the #60 player in the class.

Can we not sign Bucky to be HCIW?

Bucky has the formula. I've know him and shot ball with him for the past 20 years, he's gonna be a great.

Bucky is a good dude. I've known him and his family my entire life. Great basketball knowledge.

I've always been curious how legit or not the "red flags" are on him that have kept him from getting anything bigger than Samford. I know there is some truth to the base of the story, but don't know if it is actually as major as the rumor mill has it out to be.

Regardless, great coach and knows how to teach shooting about as good as anyone.

I’ve always heard it was his gambling habit. I believe he’s made some pretty good money as a poker player.

AU women’s basketball has hired Bob Starky from Texas A&M. He’s arguably the top assistant coach in women’s basketball. Highly decorated.

Stretch is more athletic but what separates the 2 and gives Cardwell a clear advantage to me is their hands. Stretch is Rob Chubb level stone handed while Cardwell catches the ball well in traffic or off the glass.

Stretch can get better at that. Cardwell probably has 10 years experience on him as far as that goes.

No one has hands as bad as Roberto Duran Chubb

I feel like having good hands is hard to get better at. See Wiley for example. He was a great player that worked really hard for years but his hands were still coated with butter his senior year.

Yea he is a phenomenal poker player. His brother is even better. I am just curious how much of that is actually what the red flag is truly about to the point it is a problem people see in hiring him, or is it someone just latching onto knowing he likes to play legit poker and making up something.

No Auburn in TyTy’s top 6. May be good news on Scoot?

Have you seen anything about Auburn recruiting Scoot along w/ a mystery guard that Bruce is trying to keep under wraps?

Makes me think Thor is returning and we are just saving the last spot for Scoot just in case.

Jhead told my cousin believe Thor might comeback.

My cousin is hearing good things on Scoot reclassing but GLeague is an option. If he stays in HS then he is GLeague.

Mystery guard has to be Desi Sills, most likely. But he is not a take for us.

If Thor comes back then I don't know if Jaylin stays. I'd be surprised. He's not the one I'd want to see go but there aren't a lot of minutes to go around if he stays. As it stands with Jabari coming in and Walker, Jaylin would be fine at the 3. Although I'm concerned because I don't know if he can guard traditional 3's well. Flanny is fine with be 6th man off the bench.

Any news out there? Seems not a lot of traction for us anymore. Guess it's just down to Scoot and Thor for the remaining spots, and maybe if we don't get either of them we try some late offers to get a 12th meaningful player and leave last scholly open for next year.

I bet pearl has a date in mind for both players to let him know something. We need another ball handling guard. can't wait forever on scoot or thor. Would love to get both. But if we keep waiting we're risking it with other guys who could help put this team over the top next season .
