I wish him luck but with the holes in his game he's got a long way to go to see minutes on an NBA team.

Agree but in the aggregate it should be win-win.

Keep sending talent to the league. Unfortunately this is just modern CBB. We're just in a spot where we can't necessarily reload instantly with similar caliber players like some of the blue bloods we're trying to compete with.

That said, we're reloading nonetheless, and this is still an incredible turn around for one of the P5's worst basketball programs. Kids in the league and continuing to put Auburn in the spotlight as a real program is the most important to me. We need this job to be highly attractive when Bruce leaves.

Agree. I love getting the rep of developing and putting dudes in the league. Bruce is laying a real foundation that we can build on.

Yep. Three straight first round picks speaks volumes. Will almost certainly be four straight next year too.

It's one of those win/win love/hate situations. lol.

I enjoyed seeing Cooper and how gifted he was with the ball and passing the ball, but only for 12 games, and not seeing him in person, leaves a void to me.

Then IF, we can get some of these top 30 guards such as TyTy and Scoot, and now I'm excited to see new gifted players on our team, knowing they can elevate us to be competitive for sure, and hopefully back to the NCAAs...

I really want Scoot to commit and reclassify. I think I read somewhere that he'd be too young to be a one-and-done, meaning he'd play at least two seasons for Bruce.

If SCoot reclassifies, then how is it different than Thor? He reclassified, and is able to declare for NBA after 1 year in college....

Is there a date the NBA uses to determine draft eligibility based on age?

They have to turn 19 in the same calendar year as the draft so if a recruits birthday is in Jan he has to wait until he is 19 to come out but if his birthday was a month earlier in Dec he would be draft eligible at 18.

I don’t think so either. There’s a team out there that has him on the draft board, it’s just a matter of who and at what pick.

I’m pretty sure Thor was originally c/o 2020, reclassified to 2021, and then back to 2020.

Agreed. In my mind, he's gone. Would be a very pleasant surprise if he returns but best of luck to the kid.

JT will be 20 in August. He started school a year late because of the Aug bday and then was held back again for recruiting purposes. His relcass just got him back with his original age group.

Myreon Jones just narrowed his list to Ole Miss, LSU, Fla, and Ark.

So drop Jones from our list of transfers. And he is from our own state.

I’d guess that we chose not to be on that list by prioritizing other transfers.

How are we supposed to remember a guy like Cooper at Auburn? 12 games in pandemic season lol

He chose to come to AU when he could have gone ANYWHERE...It's not like he asked an for a global outbreak or for the NCAA to sit him down for half the season...

Matt Jones
@KySportsRadio
The chatter around Oldham County is that Justin Powell was not offered by Calipari and will pick Tennessee very soon

Not sure if Oldham County knows, but they do have a train running through downtown LaGrange and I almost was killed there while shooting a legal commercial

So he will go to Tennessee and Barnes will continue delivering L’s vs Auburn.
