I don’t see Pearl leaving. His wife has a business she owns and runs in Auburn. Plus he’s got too much in the works right now to leave for another rebuild at his age.

Yep, he has to be thinking about the fact that he could very well end up with an arena named after him.

And I don't see Texas or Indiana hiring a 60 year old coach to get them back on the map in basketball.

I doubt it. Alabama and Texas to me are the same type programs.
Biggest in the state, and able to pay whatever they need to be successful. Alabama did a good job of hiring, unfortunately, when they evaluated Oats. Seems like a good one for now, but let's see how he does as players he didn't recruit leave...

Yes. The media is doing their usual thing where they fawn over Bama more than an others whenever something good happens. The guy's got an experienced team in a throwaway season where most production is coming from somebody else's players. They play in a dump, and the hype will fade in that shitty arena when they struggle next season. Then we'll see if he's really changing their pathetic culture.

The Orlando Magic subreddit already has a full boner for Chuma. There's threads already saying he's better than Aaron Gordon, and comparing him to Scottie Pippen
I’ve seen comparisons to Kawhi Leonard.

UCLA is basically the Auburn of California.
It is fitting, no doubt.
Icing on the cake will be Oats to Texas.

I don’t think Oates will leave... but them shifting all over themselves tonight has to make you wonder.

He has a 12.5MM dollar buyout. Oats isn't worth a 12.5MM buyout.

We've reached out to Noah Gurley, Furman transfer, could play the 4 or 5 for us. Good player, but kinda has me reading tea leaves on JT Thor.
