I disagree.
I don’t think Flanigan will ever be an outside consistent prolific shooter. He’s just not a natural shooting out there.
His forte is at the 3 where he can maneuver around and drive w power to the basket. He can shoot some from outside but our offense needs more ‘pure’ natural shooters from outside.

Disagree with what? The 2 and the 3 are the same in BP system. Just don’t need him playing the 1.

Unless we get someone in or Alexandre is legit we are going to struggle at the 2 and with shooting in particular.

I have no doubt Tray Alexander will end up being a good player but you would think guards would like up to play for Bruce. His success with less heralded recruits in Jared, Bryce, and Samir, should show he can turn players into studs. We got Alexander and Shariffe back to back but the guards exodus is weird..

Bruce sends out a letter to the students:

Some logical deductions:
-Bruce will be back
- Tournament eligible
-Full arena is the expectation
- Alan Flanagan will be back (lol)
-Tournament lock (schedules cleared)

So I know at the end of every season Bruce gives the players a week or two off. Then we they come back for workouts and such.. Bruce holds an individual meeting with each player to discuss candidly their expected role for each player and a plan for their offseason, etc. The TJ Lang transfer came after such a meeting.

The Powell one was clearly unexpected, but these two seem to have come in response to the meeting.

I trust Bruce has a plan for JJ and Franklin to be replaced. I would think Powell caught him off guard, but I am confident that he can fill that spot.

Franklin seemed like the most likely candidate to go, IMO.

Seems like the exact type guy we need. Tenacious defender who likes to pick up full court. Loves to push the ball and run and gun. Can slash well and streaky shooter. Has played both pg and off ball.

Even if Sharife leaves a 1 and 2 of Zep and Alexander could be really good.

Was voted on the all conference defensive team.

Also a good ball handler and scorer...

2 years of eligibility left...

We upgraded at guard...

Can he play at the 2 also? If Sharife returns...he will have to be backup at pg...

Looks like we have the possibility of a monster class this year if we aren't self imposing scholarship limits. The NCAA need to hand down punishment or accept what we have done to ourselves. This has been going on for years now. The players that will be affected weren't even on campus when this started.

And thank goodness we picked up Jasper regardless of what Cooper does. His talent and experience will help this team tremendously. Plus he's a damn good defender. After I heard his name pop up on here I went and watched 3 CoC games and his defense is really good, he goes missing some scoring in games but in Pearl's offense it's very difficult for the PG to go missing because the ball always comes back with 12 seconds to go on the shot clock.
