3 games in a row where we haven’t had the rebound advantage... not a great sign heading to rupp. We killed them on the glass a couple weeks ago tho.

It was good to see Okoro playing tonight.

He was a little rusty, but I have confidence he will be hitting 100% for the stretch run.

I was there and the refs were letting some serious mauling going on. They were consistent but these guys definitely let them play. I don't McCormick or Doughty we're getting any calls when they drove and would get bumped before they shot. In normal refereed games that play is an automatic foul call.

Okoro was a little tight from his hamstring issue and it showed when he tried to elevate on his dunk and simply could not get above the rim. I also think he didn't get a single rebound and that is rare.

Jaylin, I think every game he makes at least 1 highlight play. His no look pass to Anferee down low was amazing.

24-4 with no real guard depth.

Bruce has done a magnificent job with the pieces we have this year.

Jaylin Williams is part of rotation going forward.

So we go 10 deep.
McCormick, Doughty, Okoro, Wiley, Purifoy, McLemore, Cambridge, Johnson, Williams, Flanagan.

Johnson needs to contribute before I'd say he's in the rotation. He is supposed to be able to hit the 3 but he hasnt done much.

Their last shot at making the tournament was last night. They’re not even on the bubble anymore. More importantly Petty hurt his elbow so we don’t have to worry about Bama in the sec tournament.

Hopefully Petty recovers quickly.

Wiley wrecking havoc again. I’m sure it’s been said but god damn the veins are popping out of shoulders. Beast.

If he asserted himself every game like he did yesterday, we may be unbeatable.

Really need our guards to step up their fg %. Williams emerging is exciting.

If we pick up two more wins (season and post season) that will make for the third straight season of 26+ wins.

Before then, only the 1998-1999 team had broke the 25 win barrier.

If we can get a 4 seed in the bracket with SD St or Dayton as a 1, I’ll take it. Otherwise, I’d rather get a 6 seed.

At the same time, this group could flame out in the 1st round. I’m just enjoying another potential 26 win season.

If we just play to chalk, we should win 30 again.

Just out of curiosity. Why would you rather have a 6 seed than a 4 seed any anyone's bracket?

Just from my experience in filling out brackets, 6-11 matchups are easy upset traps.

I can see that as a perception but the stats almost certainly would suggest the higher your seed the more likely you are to advance.

IMO 4 seeds statistically make the Sweet 16 more than 6 seeds, just like 2 seeds statistically make the Final Four more than 4 seeds and certainly way more than 6 seeds. I realize upsets happen but it is always better to be a higher seed statistically. Of course, individual match-ups can affect statistical norms.

I agree.

I always heard the 5-12 matchup was the kiss of death for the 5 seed.

I definitely want the 4 seed since that seems to be our highest seed possible.

Which should make anybody a Bruce Pearl fanboy. We lost all of our starters and have holes to make to make Swiss cheese blush, but are knocking on that door again

Nearly was for us last year but we played a team that should’ve been around a 10 seed also.

It’s more like 9 1/2 deep. Johnson’s minutes are going down. He’s averaging 1 shot a game and his D is still weak(could not guard well last night, got shaked and baked out of his sneakers)
