He had 12 points but came in pretty late last game and got pulled too early.

In with first subs tonight and so far no points. Playing good D though.

Got the Warriors (Dunbar on ESPN) right now. Hopefully he’ll get some minutes tonight

Didn't play from the box score.

Warriors like to hide players though so it possibly is a good thing. They may be trying to stash him on their GLeague team in secret

"Stretch" Akingbola Highlights

Main takeaway, his wingspan is insane + shot doesn't look like a Trainwreck. Not bad at blocking shots either

If he can come in and give Horance Spencer type production off the bench + hit open spot up 3FG, he will have real value.

I can’t wait to watch Stretch develop. High energy, shot blocking, DEFENSE. Akingbola will be a fantastic fit when he arrives next month.

Stretch has been staying in shape and working on his game a few miles from the airport in Nigeria. Ready to roll.

Emphasis mine

Suns GM James Jones talked on the broadcast about Harper and said he has a bright future ahead of him

I'm going posibarner and believe the Suns expect to hold on to him

Jared Harper with 19 points, 4 assists and 2 steals in 32 minutes for the Phoenix Suns in his summer league debut. He was 7 of 8 at free throw line, 0 for 4 beyond the arc. Great first impression in the NBA.

How much impact do these summer leagues really have on a players ability to make the NBA?

Not much for out of the gate starter talent (i.e. Zion, Barrett, etc).

But for the 2nd round to UDFA signees, a lot. G League is the next step though.

For someone like Harper, he has to show his quicks, decision making, finishing at the rim and shot can thrive against the next level of talent because his measurables are not the “typical target.”

I’m only happy he’s on the Suns because they’re so thin at PG. That is an awful organization

Daeshun Ruffin is up to #27 nationally.

Despite the decommitment, we may still lead.
