You literally called it a "blown call" one post ago, and changed the thread title to "fricked over", yet you're going to argue with me about the use of the word "stolen"? frick outta here.

I generally enjoy your posts and find them pretty well-informed. But in this case, you're either being pedantic, needlessly argumentative, or both. You missed the entire point of my post

Sure, we should have played better. We also had 3 sick guys. In spite of that, our guys led at the half, and played their guts out at the end to erase a 10 point deficit. We had the game won in spite of imperfect play. We overcame Virginia. We didn't overcome the officiating.

I'm disappointed. But I also couldn't be more proud

Matt Fortuna
@Matt_Fortuna
Auburn’s Samir Doughty was the epitome of grace in the locker room. Cooperative, answered all Qs.

“They’re gonna do their job the best they can. The referees don’t try to tell me how to put a basketball in the hole, so I’m not gonna tell them how to make the right or wrong call”

I just don't want AU fans to go down the crazy LSU "everyone is to get us" conspiracy track

Blown calls are part of the game and it fricks one of the teams over. We were that team tonight and got fricked.

The refs simply made mistakes, they werent out to get AU

Marcello is pushing for Bryce to have his jersey retired in a few years.

I would think both Bryce + Harper (if he returns) would have great cases to be made.

I think Bryce 100% deserves it. i think in Jared can come back and have another 15 & 5 year he could as well.

i really, really want Bryce to get drafted. I know it's a low chance but I really think he could be a solid NBA spot shooter

He absolutely should have it retired.

Just wanted to say that I really love this team. It might be my favorite Auburn team ever, any sport. I will truly miss watching them, although my blood pressure will probably improve now that the season is over. I hurt for them, but they should be proud because they played their guts out and made Auburn University proud. I hope they get a great reception when they get home. It's still great to be an Auburn Tiger!

Yeah, almost as much as it sucks I won’t get to see this group have a shot at the title.. I also am bummed I don’t get another chance to watch them every few days. It’s been an absolute blast.

Also, we got fouled on our last attempt as well. Would have been an even more brutal call than the one on Samir, but it was a foul.

Does anyone else think we can improve at Brown's position? Yes he hit some late shots, but he disappears for long stretches during the game.

Brown was rated 349 or whatever in high school. He has his handling and driving limitations but overall, I’d say he played like a solid 4 star throughout his career. If a more talented Bryce comes in, there’s no doubt he can be more consistent than Bryce. There is also no doubt what Bryce did and where he took Auburn is special and nobody can take that away.

You do realize Brown normally draws every team's best perimeter defender and double teams right? The reason Harper took over the UK OT period was because how UK overcommitted to Bryce

Despite that he still took 25% of our team shots while on the floor with an ultra efficient 58.7 eFG%

Bryce also guarded their best ball handler while Jared gets hidden away on defense

It is highly likely our teams will be more talented in the future but never play with the heart we have seen the last 2 seasons again.

Yes. He is a very good player. However, looking at next years team, his role is one we can improve at. Hopefully more agressive in the paint too.

I’m worried about shooting on next year’s team. Samir has proven to be a good shooter but he can’t them off like Bryce with his low release. Not sure about the Memphis transfer.

Maybe true but they didn’t win it all, I think they’ll find the drive. The heart comes from Bruce, I guy that lets the dads participate in practice. It’s family.

With who? That position isn’t going to be better next year.

Expecting to improve over one of the best players to ever to put on an Auburn uniform reminds me of when everyone was wishing Nick Marshall away in favor of the more natural fit for the position, the great Jeremy Johnson.

Can’t upvote it enough... great onball defender... best 3-pt shooter in SEC history... solid ball handler.

When you factor in the 4 years of production with the personal and team accomplishments (2 SEC titles, final Four, 2nd team all conference) Bryce has had maybe the best career in auburn basketball history.
