Does "build the culture" always equate to we will suck this year?

These other SEC teams need to start winning the OOC games. They’re killing all of us.

Remember when he was a question mark going into this season? Player development baby!

Watching the Fishman diagram plays makes me realize how soft Austin Wiley is

He goes for the finesse hook shot instead of using muscle to step inside and easily seal off defender

Yeah he should be dominating opponents like this. He’s putting up decent numbers but he should be way more assertive offensively.

I've just never understood the Wiley hype.

He’s efficient and helps us defensively. You’d think he’d be a better rebounder. I guess it was the recruiting rankings, but I don’t see an NBA player at all.

Not really. His offensive rating is extremely low for a post player who primarily relies on assisted FG

helps us defensively.

Wiley brings value to the table, but he isn't a game changer as much as covering our deficiencies

Even whenn old school biga were valued, I don't see him being a great NBA player

Myles Parker almost had a put back Jam opportunity

He looks like he belongs out there. Lucky we could pick him up

He has the highest FG% on the team by almost 6% points. Compare that to McLemore and Spencer and I realize they’re shooting more outside shots. He’s definitely efficient enough. He’s bringing a lot of value to the team. I just don’t see a world beater though.

It'll be good to get back to some decent opponents starting with Dayton this weekend. The players looked like they didn't care at all.

He has a lower 2FG% than both Dunbar and Okeke

Not when you shoot sub 50% FT when you have a high FT rate

He's an important part of this team, I just don't think he is more than a role player

Well Bama coming in with another strong loss to Georgia State. The SEC has been pathetic in non-conference play.

Blew a 20pt 2H lead and lost on a buzzer 3. That's rough

I was never a believer in them this year. They are missing pieces for what offense they try to run, the talent they have is inexperienced/need development + Avery's coaching is questionable

They have some talent and a good mix of experienced players. They should be a tournament team, imo. Avery just isn't a good coach (and I really like Avery).

People overrated Avery as a HC just bc he used to be an NBA HC. They signed some good players too and people just looked at those recruiting rankings without looking to see that those pieces didn't build a good team.
