Heres my info, 3 year stater Nix can't handle the pressure cooker, more or or less a game against GASt.

Whoever starts, if we throw it in the flat on the first series it will be a pick 6 for LSU. Even I know its coming and I live 1000 miles away. Should have been taken to the house against Al St had the DB not dropped it.

The middle of the field can be our friend on passes, definitely to get the LBs out of the box and open up the run game.

The routes across the middle of the field were wide open all day Saturday. Nix never even looked there, and Finley threw a dart that the WR dropped

It’s not rocket science. If Harsin wants to win he plays Nix.

You gotta give Nix the start, but have him on a short leash. If he responds positively to his benching, obviously you keep him in. If not, put in TJ and name him the starter moving forward. It'd be a wishy-washy and indecisive look for Harsin to start TJ, then yank him for Nix if he doesn't perform well.

I think it's Nix. Not sure if it should be, but I see the logic.

Of course, I thought Nix would be back in to finish the GSU game. If Hars goes with TJ @ LSU and he has a competent game - win or lose - then the future certainly looks bleak for Bo.

Not sure how likely that is, but it's plausible. And it would be crazy to watch Bo go from Auburn legacy leading his team into highly-touted game at Penn State to benched (perhaps for good) within days. I'm not for charity at the QB spot, but I feel bad for Nix, I don't envy being Mr. Auburn and never meeting expectations.

He doesn't plus it makes LSU have to prep for two QBs.

Prep looks like this- "D Line, just push the O line backward until you're at the QB. LBs, fill the run gaps, DBs, disrupt timing."

Both are the same behind a line on skates.

That will be a game-time decision.

To get everyone's attention Harsin did exactly what needed to be done. Bench Bo for a quarter, then on Saturday fire the least of his coaching staff.

Fortunately for everyone Finley comes through and mounts a 98 yard drive that ends in a go ahead TD and the defense answers in kind with a pick six.

You can bet this will be a far superior week of practice after Saturday's showing .....

Now that Harsin has everyone's attention.

Emotionally, the team looked totally different with TJ at quarterback. You can see the excitement for him the more he played. I truly believe if he starts Bo then he will lose the team. Bo had 3 long years to show improvement and he just hasn't up to this point.

I hear this a lot and I saw what you saw. But I think it's fleeting. If Bo goes out and is sharp it's irrelevant. If TJ goes out and sucks it's irrelevant.

Now I agree it's a tricky spot. But imagine what Saban would do. He'd tell anyone who wanted to be controlled by their emotions and react differently to different QBs to GTFO of the building. And everyone would get in line as a result.

Harsin isn't Saban, but I suspect he's got a similar mentality on that point. He also probably doesn't have that level of credibility with the team, but let's hope he's got enough to make the call and then tell the team "here's how it is, act accordingly or else."

Nix should get a chance at redemption and starting Finley would put undue pressure on him. (in my who cares opinion.)

I was at this game in 1994 and the change by Harsin reminded me of the old ball coach and sent a message to the entire team.

Bo loves going for a more difficult throw into coverage instead of looking at the middle of the field. They were there plain as day.

Yep. And when you start gashing overzealous linebackers running up to stop the run, they back up. Then Tank and Hunter start running wild.

You're talking just the LSU game, right?

Cause he started Bo in the Penn St game and lost.
And he started Bo in the GA St game, and was losing 3/4 thru the 3rd qtr before he was pulled. We would have lost, cause Bo had zero confidence up to that point.

I just want to win so I'm not too invested in who starts but just putting my 2 cents in that I think Finley deserves the look. He's just seemed a lot more calm in the pocket where Bo looks like he is rushing/pressing. I'm sure Bo looks the part in practice but for some reason the game has yet to slow down for him.

I'm more worried about our pass defense Saturday than our starting QB

That simple concept is lost on a whole lot of people. Several posting in this thread.
