You put together training plans for old people? Been doing the Hal Higdon stuff.
The main complaint of Higdon’s programs are that they don’t have enough mileage to them so you end up a little underprepared on race day

That's not a terrible thing for us older people. I had rather be undertrained than over trained or injured.

That depends on the program. His Novice I and II are light on mileage (they are designed for beginners) and no speedwork and intervals, but both the Intermediate and Advanced programs have plenty of miles and have tempo/intervals/speedwork. I've used his intermediate & advanced programs to prep for many trail marathon events. Once I knew a bit more about what I was doing, my biggest complaint is that there are alot of junk miles in Zone 3, and he dosen't adhere to the 80/20 rule. His programs are good overall though.
Edit - Aubie Spr96, are't you the person who has a son at the U out here? Next time you're out here let's go run the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. We can meet behind the U and Fort Douglas

Be there for a weekend in June on our way to Jackson Hole. I’m not a trail runner. I thought I’d be since I love to hunt and fish, but every time I’ve fallen, it’s been on a trail. Hate it now.
I’d love to go to SLC and do the half marathon. It looked to be all downhill.

Some practice observations:
-Bo Nix looks about the same. I noticed a LOT of one-on-one coaching with Harsin when Nix wasn't in on a drill.
-Davis looks a little short.
-Never heard Loy's name mentioned, but lots of Trey Lindsey.
-First three WRs were generally Hudson, Canion, Ja'Varrius Johnson.
-Pegues and Frazier seemed to get a lot of reps with the 1s. They were often in together on 2 TE sets. Also saw Pegues as a fullback.
-Jaren Handy is loving life. Very energetic and vocal.
-I did see a lot of 3-4 from the defense.
-I-formation!
-Neat trick play where Nix gave to Tank, who threw it back to Nix, then Nix threw downfield to a receiver.
-You knew where Mason was immediately. His voice carries.

Thanks for the updates. Nix will take time. What will be telling is how he looks at end of spring and if he has made any significant strides.
How was the crowd?
I really like the WR group of it holds. Good mix of size, speed, and quickness. Lots of options can be run between those three

I read on Twitter an estimated 3,500. Not a bad crowd for a practice session. It was a pretty chill crowd though.
Also, Brad Larrondo was giving announcements over the stadium speaker. He explained what was each group was doing during each session and also gave a little play by play during the 11-on-11 portion.

There is a 13 minute video posted on the All About Auburn facebook page that shows some of the practice and mostly 11v11 with the person taking the video was talking all throughout the video...said Nix was throwing picks without pressure...pretty funny commentary..This is of the longer video... Practice

I hoping they can get the bad habits out of Nix, still a lot of time before the season.

Bo didn't throw no INT he just had like 2 bad passes one was almost an int

I'm not quite sure where the INT narrative is coming from except maybe Dee Davis truthers. Nix did throw some poor passes but I think that's an exaggeration. He's pretty much what we saw last time in the bowl game, which shouldn't be surprising. What I did find encouraging was Harsin working through mechanics with him quite often, including what seemed to be a focus on shifting from throwing off his back foot.

Because his last name rhymes with Pix and makes for a fun nickname. He had the nickname his freshman year despite having the same amount of picks as Burrow.

They’re not here or in 247. Where are these people?

I’ve never seen the talk. I’ve seen where Bo needs an open competition with Dee if necessary because Bo needs to pick it up.

Some things that I noticed in practice.
First of all, I’ll say that I didn’t stay the whole time. I was there a little over an hour but dang it was fun to be back in JHS!
-Larrando seems like he is going to bring a lot of energy to the program.
-Several players looked visibly stronger and/or in better shape than last year.
-The coaches that I spent time watching (Eason, Caddy, Friend, CWill, and Mason) are all high energy and very focused on technique.
-Harsin also seemed high energy and was constantly rotating around and getting involved, he threw a lot of passes with the TEs and he got in there and worked with the WRs some too.
-in individuals, Devan Barrett was getting a good bit of 1-on-1 work with Caddy and Shivers is looking stout and has definitely gotten bigger.
-installs- a lot of plays from under center and quite a bit of 2 TE sets. In 2 TE, the starters seemed to be Pegues and Frazier. In wider sets the TE starters seem to be Pegues and Fromm. HBs were Pegues and Deal. WRs were Canion, Malcolm Johnson, and Ja’varrius Johnson.
-in QB drills, a lot of focus on fundamentals, footwork and getting shoulders pointed towards the target. Bo was getting pointers and work in on the side with Harsin and maybe Bobo.
-some other random things I noticed: Moultry got a lot of time with the starters and looked the part, Jaren Handy was super high energy and was hyping up other guys, Derick Hall looked really good and like a difference maker, Jeremiah Wright (#76) got a lot of time with the starters- he looked big and moved well, Tyler Fromm also got a good bit of time with the 1s and he didn’t seem out of place, Ja’varrius Johnson looks small out there, but he ran good routes, is very quick and showed good hands.
War Eagle!

Not sure what you are looking at but the davis hype is everywhere. So down play it all you want but there is a large group that thinks Davis is starting by the end of the season
