Yep. One of my compliments of him when he was hired is the dude just gets it. He understands what the game is now and he understands what is needed. Doesn't mean he will succeed, but we've not had a coach with his mentality in a long time.

Been funny watching the silly reaction social media has had to his throwing motion, so many posts being like "should Auburn fans be worried". As if he hasn't been the same player for years now.
Oh no, another meaningless chip he can put on his shoulder now. What will we ever do?

Hit the receiver in stride, preferably.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Definitely looks pretty awkward. Accuracy is going to be a concern, especially trying to drop it over the shoulder of the receiver with a DB on his tail.

I don't care about throwing motion at all. We've had multiple good QB's with bad throwing motion in my lifetime.
My only concern on his would be elite corners jumping an out route. But I'm sure he has already compensated for that on some level dealing with his own throwing motion over the course of his career.

I don't disagree with you that it looks awkward but in his two full time starting seasons he hangs around 65% accuracy which is good enough for college. Granted those were not seasons where he goes up against the SEC full time, but all kinds of weird releases work at this level that don't translate to the pros.

Yea, that was very much sarcasm
. I couldn't care less either. Hell, Cam has a pretty awkward throwing motion, all that matters is are you efficient with getting the ball to the receiver.
Having extensive knowledge of this offense through countless hours in NCAA 25 & 26, I can say the quick out route is not a staple of this offense, at least not by the outside recivers. Some zigs and return routes by the slots and tight ends, and a few bubble routes as well. Moreso quick curls and comeback routes are what are going to be sat on if a DB wants to try and jump a route, but usually they are option routes so that is a big risk.

Yea I was joking guys, he dropped the ball in perfectly to Singleton.

Yes, Cam and Jason Campbell both came to mind. Nick Marshall's was a little strange too but it was at least very quick.

Maybe it means nothing but I find the vibe so fresh and professional compared the vibe the slobbish and used car salesman-like Hugh Freeze days

Love seeing Omar breaking down a huddle.

I haven’t seen it mentioned, but I think Brown has a lot of similarities to Randall Cunningham. He had a hitch in his throw, but could launch the ball.

I don't care if he throws with a limp wrist! Is it accurate a catchable ball? How may yards passing did he have last year? How many did our combination of 3 qbs have combined?
Go watch the Grudend vid of his analysis of Brown. Dude knows a stud when he sees one!

I love how these pundits, who have probably never taken a snap at QB, are coming out of the woodwork to question BB’s throwing motion now that he’s with us.
Did they question him last year when he was throwing for 3,000 yards?
The conspiracy theorist in me says that it’s the Red Elephant Network because they’re worried now… hahahaha
