it may be just me, but isnt it weird that practically every HFC at AU still lives nearby? even the ones we fired
Dye lived in Auburn til he died
Bowden lived here for a decade after we fired him
Tubs came back and ran for the US Senate
Gustav is back in the area
i bet Freezus ends up settling down a long 9 iron shot away from Moores Mill

"Every decision I make in my entire life ... is based on my family," Chizik said. "That's it. ... When we came back to Auburn the second time around, we promised our kids that they would graduate from Auburn High School."

Dye lived in Notasulga until he died, not Auburn.

I think NIL has changed the culture of all the bigger programs. If they transfer they transfer, but you signed an "annual" contract, not a season. Which includes spring, summer, fall practice. Weight room, nutrition, the film room, the whole nut.
And also includes "image" which means no more speeding around with guns and dope in your car, or any of that foolishness that has been tolerated in a lot of the programs in the past.
Regarding culture change, I was a student for the Barfield to Dye earthquake

They pushed the business model.

As someone who grew up in Notasulga; I wish! Notasulga has the great misfortune of being in Macon Co versus Lee County.
Seriously, there is no telling what Notasulga could have been if it was in Lee Co.

Not us news but I saw Amaris Williams tore his ACL in practice and is going to miss all of 2026. I hate that for him. Wanted him to do well, dude's motor was always awesome. Just snakebit when it comes to injuries.

That's horrible. I was looking forward to him getting run over Bryson Washington but now looks like that'll have to wait. Hope he gets healthy for 2027

Don’t have a clue what they are saying but definitely like seeing this, from both guys.

Also, for some younger guys, Deshawn Spencer and Brian Williams Jr got some good praise this week for how they've been performing lately. Seem to be picking things up a lot faster now.
