Schmedding on his defensive philosophy: “We’re a 3-4 personnel…however, I believe you have to be versatile. We’re going to play even and odd fronts...
I'm sure we will use different looks, but this statement combined with all of our LBs and DL gaining a lot of weight means to be prepared for LOTS of 3-4 this year. I've made it no secret that I HATE 3-4 defenses. I hate giving up that much at the LOS and unless you just have great players, imo, it means you aren't going to be able to stop the run well enough. Time will tell though.

We'll run an Okie or Bear front on running downs unless we have a NG that can command a double team 100% of the time.

I thought that was noteworthy considering there was some speculation we'd run more 4-2-5 with Schmedding. Guess not?

Brahms and Council? They are listed on the roster, are they nicked up?

EJ Harris checking in at 312, Jayson Jones 328 and Mba at 312. Some big ole boys as advertised.

Both had surgery. Council has had lots of injury issues.

Both were smaller “clean up” type of surgeries but Council is on a scooter lol

Thanks guys.

Hope springs eternal, line jells, Calzada continues improvement, few receivers step up, we just might have a good fall, defense will be solid.

I think he had surgery on his non throwing shoulder. I think he's still doing walkthroughs in a non contact jersey and will do some light throwing though.

Any word on why Jarquez Hunter and JaVarrius Johnson haven’t been at practice?

This is the saddest spring football thread I have ever seen on this board. They really have beat all the high expectations the fans have out of us haven't they?
