JF3 has attempted only 1 pass in 3 games where we ahd blowout leads.

It is scary as shite to think that our backup QB, who is reportedly very inconsistent, has all of 5 passes under his belt.

He is 6/10 on the season but I get what you are saying. I would love for him to get some quality reps and see what he can do. But that is a double edge sword. If Gus pus him in there and he fricks up, we will be on his arse for not leaving Sean in there.

We are just a bunch of ungrateful fricks.

Personally, from a recruiting and performance standpoint,

I'm definitely with you. It would be a huge boost to recruiting and good for the program if we could do that.

Despite what people think, Sean White living up to CHex's wet dream + us winnign with him is my dream/ideal outcome.

If we can show a pocket passer can develop under Gus plus put up 65%, 3000+yards, 30TD and we win 10+ games, every quality DT QB in the country will flock to Auburn

So our 35 pt lead drops from 35 to 28 on a pick 6. Running real drives in the 4th quarter with leads that big, against opponents that bad is not going to risk a L

I would rather us win by 10-30 than 30-50 if it means our backups at all the positions get quality experience.

This is what I've been trying to stress, but you keep the starters in for the third and put the backups in in the fourth.

Its not about Sean. I love his effort and ability. Coaches are not the right coaches for him.

And JF3 is not the player for them. I think we can win every game with Sean with the playcalling we had tonight, with or without a good deep ball.

Agree. He is not the guy either. Never been on the JF3 train. Id like to see him get more reps when we are up to see what he can do but he is not ready to be our guy. Too immature in my opinion...

No use wasting reps on the guy imo. It's more important to develop Sean than him at this point

My opinion of him hasn't changed, FWIW.

It's nice to see some play-calling going his way.

Admittedly, this team is better than I thought they would be.

It really is. The surprise defense and competent playcalling has done wonders for them. The head coaching still leaves alot to be desired though, but he's young, and he seems to be learning.

The biggest surprise, IMO, is the way the defense is playing.

The secondary was on point tonight. All over MSU receivers. I like what I see there.

Deshaun Davis is a beast. Hope he can get and stay healthy.

Agree that the defense is fun to watch...

Yep and it's not just Carlton either. Javaris impressed me especially today, that guy's a dude in the making.

I don't miss them, but I'll give them credit for their recruiting/early development. Our young DBs they brought in have been great so far

Steele and Crime Dog have been doing well though.

Ive truly never thought he was the problem. or really any player in their position. I really like this team.

The coaching/play calling has been shoddy as frick at times.

Me too. The dude has shown excellent instinct, poise and anticipation from the moment he stepped on the field. Things, as JJ has shown us, which cannot be taught. I dont think SW will ever be an absolute top tier QB, but I absolutely think that he has a WHOLE lot of upside if they will just let him develop and I think the people who say we'll never win more than 8 games with him are dumbfricks.

Malzahns mishandling of the QB's last season and current is a black mark on him that probably never be able to get over. At least he seems to be fixing it now, but frick dude.....cmon.

As far as how we do the rest of the season.....I'll wait and see if we continue to play toward SW's strengths. Also hard to gauge from the State game. Hoping for the best though.

He is getting some plays called to his strengths, but first and second are still running plays. They just went better against MSU than a better defense. I saw him look a bit better on the long ball, but it is hard to judge with possibly some errors from WR.

Can JF3 really not be some other part of this offense?

This team is definitely getting better. I think we will give Arky all they want after the bye week. and stand a real chance against UGA and Ole Miss. I will say Bama can be beat, but probably not by us short of a perfect game and a little dumb luck.

This ain't the NFL, those are all-time number at AU. All Sean has to do is get close to 2500 yards and close to 20 TDs and that's a successful season. And White is on pace for that.

Only once in Auburn history has a QB gone over 3000 yards. That was Craig in 97 and he only threw 18 TDs that year.

30 TD is the single season at Auburn, and that was Cam Newton who is the reigning NFL MVP. Next best? Chris Todd with 22.
Only 5 QBs in Auburn history have ever thrown for 20 TDs in a season:
-Cam Newton, 30, Heisman
-Chris Todd, 22, First team All-SEC
-Jason Campbell, 20, SEC OPOY
-Pat Sullivan, 20, Heisman
-Nick Marshall, 20, SEC champ
