I really, REALLY don’t give a frick if they smoked pot. Question is are they prepared for Ole Miss? And did they roll the victory joint?

So another board said they used Delta 8 (Legal Mary Jane), not technically pot, but taken from the HEMP plant. I had not heard about the product before today, but it is legal in Alabama and most states. Delta-8 THC absolutely gets you high, but since the source product is hemp, Delta-8 products remain federally legal—and can be found in smoke shops, novelty stores, bodegas, gas stations and online all over the United States. Still suspended but may explain why they thought they could get away with it. FORBES ARTICLE on Delta8

Is Delta 8 just a synthetic marijuana that is only legal merely because it hasn’t been banned yet? Synthetics get banned all the time as soon as founded.

Synthetic Cannabinoids is listed in the Auburn drug policy.

Is that what Delta 8 is considered? I am not sure of the specifics on synthetics...

If it is, then anything 'synthetic' they would have known it was a violation, regardless of the federally legal connotation...

Delta 8 is easy to get and they thought since it was in stores, they were ok. Still stupid, but legal.

I don’t believe it’s synthetic. It is thc extracted from hemp. A loophole pretty much, because hemp is legal. It still contains thc, which is what you are tested for. They should have known better.

Still don’t believe we have suspensions until I see it, but it would be the most Auburn thing for us to be the only school suspending players for D8.

FROM PAM: reliable sources confirm, will be missing a small number of players in Saturday’s game against Ole Miss on Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium. (I AGREE)

None of them are thought to be starters.(I believe one is a starter).

Its Ole Miss at home.

I'm more worried about who we draw in the playoff.

It’s great. Just walk into the “health food” store, swipe your cc, and out you go with it. Good buzz. Very chill.

Forgive my ignorance on all of this stuff, but is this something one smokes, like marijuana? Or is something one eats--- I know "health store" is probably code for something, but really don't quite understand.

Delta-8 is completely natural and derives from Hemp and not Marijuana (yes they are different) the state of Alabama as well as all other have it completely legalized.

So do people just buy a bag of this stuff? Or is it packaged as something else?

Vapes and gummies mainly. There is flower but it’s cbd flower sprayed with the vape oil from what I understand.

Yes but one’s employer might not have.

All I’m saying is tread carefully.

Delta-8 is a derivative of the hemp plant. One molecule off. You can smoke it with a Vape pen or take it as a gummy, which is the better choice.(I don’t smoke anything ever) Easy up easy down, totally chill vibe. Relaxed anti-anxiety afternoon or evening right at the health food store. Instant good mood. Totally legal and awesome.

Agreed, but it shows up on a drug screen as THC.

It should all be legal

I think Burks sat out the first quarter. From what I read Malcolm Johnson Jr was out for undisclosed reasons. Height and Caleb Johnson were the most rumored suspensions.
