you would have to be naive to think Pearl had no idea it was happening, thus, he allowed it to happen under him.

You can't fire the AD, for the assistant, and keep the man in the middle....

I think in the big scheme of things (when compared to Louisville), Chuck had the weakest crimes.

Unlike Louisville, he wasn't paying kids to play at auburn. He was greedy and wanted money for himself. He was trying to get kids to go pro and use a certain agent.

Auburn as a whole didn't benefit from any of that.

i can't even keep a straight face typing that

This makes sense if you think this gave Auburn a competitive advantage.

Problem w theory is Auburn gained zilch from this shite.

You are not firing Jacobs for this isolated incident. You are firing Jacobs because of a pattern of lack of control and competence.

The Louisville situation is different from what I heard.

I was told they straight up paid a player to come to there school. A lot different than what Chuck did.

Plus this is like Pitino's 5 or 6th major violation.

He had the weakest crimes according to NCAA laws.

But morally, what he did is way worse than what Pitino did IMO. I don't know what everyone else did.

When the man at the top is already knee deep in another dumpster fire you sure can.

Neither does CPA. He just wants the world to burn. No matter the consequences.

And probably won't. With the feds involved, any statements would have to go through the general counsel office I'm pretty sure and they are probably telling everybody to just shut up right now.

Why do you say that?

Unless the story changed, Chuck was taking advantage of a player to pad his own pocket.

Why would Pearl know that, especially if as reported he told the player to tell no one.
