Why? I see many on here complaining all the time about NIL and how much the players don’t care about playing for the school anymore and are just hired guns. Yet, the team votes to play and represent Auburn and we aren’t going to support them?

Yea, look at Scarbs tweet above though

Scarbs tweet is what I was referring to. Unless there is another interview that I'm not aware of, he is taking the quality wins piece out of context based on the CBS selection show interview.

Huh? Magwood and SWA were Top 50 players. Simon Walker a top 150 player as well. Bashir the number 1 Juco and Oporum the number 3.
Literally one player got any run. Not sure what kind of impact recruiting is going to do you are just going to make them cheerleaders

When do they move the NIT final out of MSG?

Is it just to have the coaches closer to final 4 location?

Even into the 1970s, the NIT was very prestigious.

Originally, it was the preferred tournament.

We keep Pearl another year, all we're doing in delaying the inevitable.

He's in over his head. He needs to go to a smaller school and learn there, not here. I would be surprised if our roster was even on the level of relative talent next year as this year... much less, better.

We're keeping baby Pearl another year, minimum. His contract is $15m over 5 years with 50% buyout if fired without cause.

If the MBB program is already kind of second choice for NIL donors imagine what it would be like to have to pay a buyout on a coach too lol

Well we accepted an NIT bid.
Not sure it does the players any good.

But it's cheap coaching practice for SP.

So if we fired him at the end of next year it would be $4.5M. That's not too awful.

I'm rooting for him to surprise us next year, though.

Nothing too inspiring thus far, but won't really know until after portal season.

My intrest has worn thin I suppose from football. It is harder to support a losing program. Im more of a football guy and Im not saying the basketball program is that yet but it seems like mediocrity is more and more accepted among fans.
That was more frustration from the football predictions this year. Im suprised the players choose to play because the optics are that they have already gave up. Losing is part of it but if its because the team seems to not care I find it hard to care anymore. The lows are definitely starting to outweigh the rare highs of being an Auburn man lately

Were predicted to win around half of our games. Does that mean we get half of the donations back??
