Ok, here we go, these are facts…

-blew a 16pt lead in 90 seconds at home vs AM cause he wouldn’t call a TO when they started pressing with 8 mins left.

-Got a technical, with about 2 mins left vs Vandy at home when the game was a 5pt game and benched Hall with 13 mins left in the game.

-Got a technical vs UT in the tournament with about 2-3 mins left when it was a 6 point game.

-Could not get consistent effort out of. team that managed to beat 3 conference champs at different times of the season,

-Had numerous discipline problems among many different members of the team that cost us games.

- Lost at home to OM down the stretch and at Oklahoma both with pitiful performances in the effort column.

That about sums it up

The shitty fans that hoped we wouldn’t get in so they could gloat and bash the coach.

We wanted in the dance. Unfortunately for you nobody is excited to criticize the coach. Been there done that in real time at the turning point. Now we are just in baseball season, you were wrong, and minds are made up. Real discussion was a month ago.

I don’t think we deserved to be in per se, we very much played our way out of it, but the committee’s reasoning as to why the last teams that got in, got in, was some total bull. By their logic, I think we were more deserving. End of the day though, win the games we should have and don’t have a total collapse to end the season and it’s all moot.

Time to fire SP … BP, you lobbied, he got his shot, he blew it… don’t even catch an attitude after AU bailed you out of coaching purgatory… Hire Will Wade before the whole program crashes and it’s a complete rebuild

Sienna has 16 wins. Next lowest is 18.

ETA ChatGPT is wrong. Looks like 18 is the lowest.

A little premature for that, but SP is going to have to pull a leprechaun out of his arse and land some major talent in the portal or his time will be short-lived.

We are always the runt of each sport in the eyes of PTB. Remember when they tried SO hard to keep us from #1 ranking in BB

That post is a bit disingenuous.

He said (paraphrasing) they had some high quality wins against UNC and Louisville when they were at full strength. They had a key player get hurt and lost several games in a row; however, the injured player is returning for the tournament and they feel like SMU can be competitive again.

I won't watch 1 second of it. I hate we missed the tournament but I hate even more that we went backwards this season. Most every fan knows too well that Auburn will always end up with the short end of the stick if the decision is up in the air. More than losing, I hate seeing how soft Auburn has been this year in our 2 biggest sports. I am not confident but still hope SP improves this teams record next year

Lame as hell IMO

Pearl needs to focus 150% on recruiting and hiring coaches

No one cares about the NIT

He let the players decide. The players wanted to play is what is being reported

I’ve said the same thing about meaningless bowl games but everyone says differently about those.

I blame Bruce. He just stopped recruiting last year and left us in a bind.

Huh? Magwood and SWA were Top 50 players. Simon Walker a top 150 player as well. Bashir the number 1 Juco and Oporum the number 3.

Granted they are all freshmen and should be treated as such. Unless you are a top 20 player coming out of high school you probably shouldn’t be depended on to contribute much.

We lost 10 players from last season. That is very rarely going to happen. We benefited the prior season and it bit us in the arse this season.

Get a 10-11 deep of the quality players with 1 project/development athlete and give one walk on a scholly and move forward. Who stays or goes should be left up to the staff. Finish out this tournament and build a new team for next season.

That class was around 15th in the country. The transfers were average. Good if you like NIT births, I guess.
