quote:

“Auburn didn’t even practice for this game until Saturday,” Frost said, per James Crepea of AL.com. “We practiced [last] Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday with almost an entire staff. … We’re doing everything and more that we’ve done at Oregon in the time I was there, and we were at six of these bowl games. We have more coaches at practice, we’re practicing on the exact same schedule that we did trying to get ready for these games.

“We’re game-planning at the same time, and like I said, we’re ahead of our opponent because they started practicing on Saturday.”

Okay? Does he really think we weren't doing prep for the game? Maybe, just maybe if his team went through the gauntlet we did, it might be a good idea to give them some extra rest?

He might have dug himself a hole. Where this game seem liked a letdown after blowing the SEC Champ game, could fuel some fire for our team.

No one else is willing to acknowledge that he might be right?

Maybe our guys did need some extra time off. Maybe our coaches thought focusing on early signing day was more important than playing some scrub program like UCF.

Or maybe we aren't preparing as best as we can for a game that could potentially embarrass us?

Maybe Scott should put a little more focus on recruiting and that 48th ranked class he’s got going in Nebraska.

I'd love to win the bowl game but if it means letting younger guys play in order to get ready for next year e thats all fine and dandy to me. I don't care if Kerryon plays at all. He needs to rest up for the NFL prep. Same goes with the other players. The Peach Bowl may be a NY's Day Bowl but its still a worthless game.

frick that. I say play the best players and beat the frick out of them. Thats what these guys deserve. They have worked hard and deserve to go out there in a New Years day bowl game and kick some arse

If you think KJ is that guy, you haven't been paying attention.

Isn't there a limit to practice hours or something?

If both teams hit the limit, wouldn't it be better or the same to do it later?

Practice hours per week, not total practice hours or # of practices

quote:

"There is no specific limit on the number of practices a team may hold while preparing for a bowl game, but standard NCAA rules apply for participation in practice or other athletically related activities. Same as the regular season, these rules limit practice and other athletic activities to a maximum of four hours per day and 20 hours per week."

Old article but I believe it is still accurate

I would hope that they have "optional" practices last week focusing on player development for redshirts, younger players + early enrollees

This Peach Fila Bowl is literally the UCF super bowl. I would expect some extra hype and some salt from their end. Especially since Frost is very likely selling this to his troops that everybody thinks they have no shot and are being disrespected.

Gus better be paying attention. Steele needs to be selling this hard on his end as well.

I have no interest in this game. I can’t imagine how the players feel.

GusShortBus' bowl record speaks for itself. It's almost as bad as his getting the team ready in the preseason. Hoping to see a change, but I'm not holding my breath.
