I can support adding more luxury /box seats. We don't need 100k though

This would be a huge mistake...just a waste of money and time

Finishing the dome in any way would make it so much louder. All we need is luxury boxes and expanded student section on the other side.
This is an idea I can get behind

Have not read this thread but has the sound system been brought up? If not, we need a new one

TIA

The trend for video screens in stadiums is for them to have an extra wide aspect ration. Like the renderings above, I wouldn't be surprised if this new screen isn't any taller than the older, just much wider. Keeping the height down would perhaps allow for a deck above the screen, so it'd be like Baltimore's stadium or the GA Dome where the screen is only halfway up. At the screen level, you just enclose it and make it a nice lounge.

Let's find a way to move the old screen into the arena...

I'll have to go find my old tiger card and watch the game from the roof of Haley instead of buying season tickets

Our current board is 71 feet wide... Current largest is TAMU at 163 Feet... Link-Size of College Video Boards

ETA: largest is at Tennessee State (Surprising)

Well, they play in the Titans' stadium so that is the reason. It's not like the school funded those video screens.

I just dont see how yall think finishing the upper deck would be a bad thing. Those seats alone would make up the 100k

That's the thing. We don't want the 100k. Many of us see the possibility that those seats don't fill majority of the time. Recently we have only sold out at 87,451 when there's hype around the team or when we have a streak of wins going. When we don't have hope (2012) you saw attendances of 84,000 or less.

The theory that you build it and they will come isn't the premise around which we should build.

Enclose both end zones with premium seating or boxes for all you richers. Which may drop ticket prices for all of us poors. Then Boom.

Nicest, loudest, then go after biggest if it is needed. I don't care about being smaller if we're still more intimidating (UGA, Bama)

Yep. Improve what we got. The fact our sound system is as bad as it is, is laughable.

I'd be fine getting the stadium up to 90K or so with some boxes or whatnot, but we cannot support a 100K stadium. we don't have the ticket waiting list or consistent attendance to support a stadium that big, just the facts.

Wtf are you so bent on 100K for?

Be assured that with technology improving the television and the cost of attending games going higher, it will be much tougher to fill seats. We have one of the loudest stadiums as is. Improve the stadium but expansion to reach 100K is not the right way to go IMO.

Agree. I assume adding boxes and a little seating will push us to 90 or so, which is plenty for a school our size for now.
