per Bryan Matthews

quote:

Reuben said he came over to the athletic complex and met with Coach Gus Malzahn today. He said it was a real good meeting and that Auburn is still in it. He said a number of coaches came by to see him today including Todd Grantham from Georgia. He said he plans to go on his five official visits and have a final decision on Signing Day.

He mentioned Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Texas A&M and Washington as potential visits.

Heard from a kid who goes to AHS that Reuben was talking about Washington in one of his classes today. Odd.

Miami? Who would want to play there?

It will come down to teams closer to home... Washington and Miami are just for the visit...

Glad to see he is over his initial anger... He is very close to Trooper and I am sure they continue to talk.

You know that offseason thread that someone always creates called "If you're a recruit, where do you take visits"? Well Miami is always listed along with places like USCe, Hawaii, and maybe Washington. In actuality, UW is a great campus right on the bay in Seattle.

Not saying that's why he's visiting those schools but it doesn't strike me as odd.

I do. This kid's a gamechanger. Dont know if he's faster, but he's a taller, bulkier version of Tray Blackmon. Blackmon was damn fast.

I think it's b/w us and UGA, and I still think we've got a good shot.

I still want Lawson and Foster.

I agree with you. A big, great linebacker is drastically needed and has been needed for 2 or 3 years and Lawson could be an amazing player when it is said and done.

It just makes sense that Auburn is still his #1 school right now. LSU and Georgia are heating things up, but I just see us getting him in the end. Him decommitting seemed like a knee jerk reaction to me.

Heck yeah, I think Reuben would be a beast. I was pissed when he decommitted even though I knew he would.
