Craig Sanders was in bammer gear when he was a bammer commit, once he flipped to Auburn he stopped wearing it.

Yes but the Sanders pic appears to be during an official visit. Liner's photos are of him out and about in public. Plus I know someone that said they personally saw Liner at the MS Wal-Mart the other day walking around with bammer gear on. Add that together with his interview posted above and I just don't like AU's chances.
Personally I don't care. I think getting the staff together is more important at this point. Gus will hold together what he can but I don't expect miracles this season. Getting rid of Chizik helps more than having twenty 5 stars sign.

It's not about teaching him a lesson, it is about getting players who want to be at AU and not attached at the hip to some assistant.
Besides, Foster has like 3 kids as well as legal issues. I am tired of recruiting people too stupid to pull out or use condoms and tired of recruiting kids who are in the county jail every other weekend. We've seen this season where those kinds of kids get us (national headlines, that's what). AU has looked like 80's Miami in the past few years with all the thuggery off the field.
Sure, the 5 stars look good for the cruitin' national championship, but what good are stars when they flunk out of school their first semester or get kicked off the team for armed robbery? I'll take a 3-4 star who keeps his nose clean and comes to AU to work all day over a self-entitled 5 star.
That is how Tubs recruited and how Gus should do it too. Tubs looked at character as well as stars, whereas Chizik didn't give the first thought to character no matter how much he preached Christianity to us all.

I don't expect 18 year olds to be perfect angels, but I do expect them not to be complete morons with kids by a half dozen different girls before they even graduate HS. Also not having a police record is a big plus.

Taking things in context here, Reuben has one kid, seems to be pretty committed in staying in her life, and as far as we know, no police record.

I don't condone it but Trent Richardson had 3 kids out of high school, I am not going to get my panties in a bunch over one girl who he has committed, as Sandman said, to staying in her life. Compared to the statistics of African American males who have kids while in high school, that is fricking awesome of him. Breaking stereotypes for the better

I drank and smoked weed in HS and college too. I don't give two craps if a player does that as long as he is smart and responsible about it (i.e. don't be a fool and go out in public with guns and drugs a la Michael Dyer).

See, Richardson is a good example. How in the HELL can you be dumb enough to get a chick pregnant not once, not twice, but three times all before the age of 18? (AU has players with multiple kids right now as well).
And I thought teen pregnancy was on the decline. I guess not.
