Will would be the DC not a defensive analyst plus would be the play caller on defense and in complete control within Durkins principles which are the same as Will’s. They fundamentally run the same defense.

Not saying it’s possible but Muschamp could do much worse than living in Auburn.

I don't know that Will would leave uga for a lateral move. Don't see the point.

Muschamp is no longer @ UGA so I will be interested to see if he wants to coach again if DJ gets the HC job

Good call Corch. I forgot he’s not DC over there. Wonder why Kirby has not had him at DC?

I’m thinking he just doesn’t want to coach any longer but we will see

I’m sure he is DJ’s first call for DC if he lands the HC job

In terms of writer credibility I agree Jason Caldwell is probably the most reliable. He and Mark were always the most responsible of the bunch IMO. That said, often slower because they didn't run with rumors.

22 is the only "insider" I know of who was particularly reliable and I'm not sure he's an insider anymore. I do think his connections are probably still pretty good and if says something it's probably reliable.

i remember austudent22 as a reliable poster on ITAT back in the day, but i was under the impression that there are a few “insiders” who co-opted his handle so i don’t know which is the real deal

austudent22 was probably the most informed regular poster that I have come across multiple AU boards since around 2000. I took a hiatus from around 2018 until about a month or so ago from all message boards other than just reading this one. I am currently back on AUFamily and that site has improved since I was last banned from there.

I go for Derrick Nix if his play calling was like Saturday night.

Many better OCs out there that we could get easily enough that have better play calling & much more successful.

Will is still with UGa just as an analyst. He moved from co-DC to analyst before last season.

He was an analyst for Kirby. But he watches Vandy play football because his son is on the team.

If it happened that would be his third stint at AU under 3: different head coaches (Tubs, Gus, DJ).

Has any other assistant been with a single program that many times with that many different head coaches?

Hate that we do. Or the crowd that says we have to have an Auburn Tie...Just Because...You know the Auburn Tie makes them better for some reason...some of these people would say no to Saban coming in and getting back into shape.
