That was the less cool Finks.
The original Finks was where Quixoties was.

Ever since that Kesha concert it seems Auburn has made a concerted effort to destroy the bar scene.

I’m still pissed they replaced the Vault with freaking pieology

Is Brand X pizza still there?

Seems like the Southeast place is shooting for a Vault-esque vibe...

You've got places like The Hound, the Draft House

For the more sophisticated (OLD)
Avondale
Acre
The Collegiate Hotel (Rooftop)
Auburn Conference Center (Picollos)
Not as many as a lot of towns, but not completely empty either.

Is it the same owner from several years ago?

I don’t understand Auburn’s City Commission (Council). I wish my town was in the position to squander millions in tax revenue.

I’ve known some of them. They are morons. They want Auburn to not be a college town while still reaping the benefits of all the college students. Surprise morons, college students want nightlife. You get rid of that, try and guess what happens next.

I wish I had known this last week! I met my wife of 21 years at Finks...Me and my buddy were leaving, and a girl I knew from my Accounting classes was walking in with her friend. I talked to my friend the next day at class and asked about her friend and we agreed we would all meet at the Supper Club that Saturday night. We met, we made out...and 21 years later we were taking our son to move in his dorm at the Hill last Thursday. We drove by there and I remarked how it looked closed up. We were going to try to go take a pic in front of it, but the day got away from us. Maybe they won't tear it down before the first game.

I think they were just tired on the long and late hours so they decided to get 9-5s

I don't think they're squandering millions....
The reality is (whether it was intentional or not) that downtown is now specifically catered to college students.
The only time you'll find us down there is during the summer and on football game weekends. The students are there every single night.
I don't like the monstrous apartment complexes either, but the main reason why is what will happen over the next few years to the areas where the affluent college kids used to live....like Harmon, Longleaf, etc.

Hardly any. Their attempt rid the downtown of its nightlife is going to bite them in the arse.
Sky, new Quixote's, Bourbon St., 1716.
Main problem is with landowners, they want more opportunity for more sq ft to lease. A couple of those mentioned will have new property owners in the near future as well simply because current ones are very old. they have kids, but that means change.

I'm Darnell's where Sky Bar is old so I barely recognize anything now.
