There’s a reason all those guys played G6 ball for 4 years. They weren’t good enough to play SEC ball and it showed in spades on Saturday. The receivers played well and Singleton could play for a lot of teams but Brown and the linemen are not ready for SEC play every Saturday. I don’t see that changing much. They are who they are at this point, 5 years in.

OL play is an issue for most teams, but especially those with first year head coaches. Feel like you can count on one hand the number of teams with ‘good’ lines.
Idk if it’s the portal or the schemes, but OL play across CFB has never been worse.

A lot of OL play is continuity and experience. Auburn hasn't had that nor recruited for it since the Chizik era
You aren't likely to build a great OL from the portal. You'd have to pay a metric f ton of $ for the talent to overcome the lack of cohesion

I’m not happy with BB at QB. He has his moments but does a lot of things wrong. He’s processing slow and his windup delivery makes Reggie Slack’s throwing motion look like Peytotn Manning. I’m also treating this season as the base and it can only go up from here. This upcoming portal cycle he has his work cut out for him.

So yeah....
Because it's a bit scary to think out of the whole NCAA this was his top shelf QB... and now we're stuck developing a 5th year senior because of it.
