Doesn't he already talk to Russell?

Caleb Williams is in the portal.

Family says that he wants to be an NFL QB and his development is first priority.

Maybe Russell can give him a buzz and pump up Austin Davis for us

Confirmed by insiders elsewhere that we are pursuing but so are USC, Georgia, and others.

Yeah but why in the hell would he go to Georgia with how Kirby handles his QBs, and at USC he is going to have a lot more competition for the starting spot.

I’m sure NIL has something to do with it, but I think this kid and his family are looking for more than just the highest bidder. NIL money is temporary money.

Who said he would?

HE probably has done his homework or will soon, and then weigh what place offers him the best chance to get to the NFL.

And I am sure he also wants a strong winner w/ a high level supporting cast to give him that best opportunity.

Who can blame him for weighing his options. Rileys ability to put QBs in the NFL speaks for itself, now he is gone why not look around? Hopefully our OC's experience with Wilson will speak to one of these portal QBs soon

Talk about overhyping Finley.

They pay as much as anyone. He’ll have that amazing tight end to throw to and George Pickens. Not to mention an NFL offensive line.

I meant coming back for another year in college?

I hope the answer remains no.

If he goes to Georgia, that means that Daniels, Beck, and Vandergriff likely all start considering other options.
We'd probably end up with Stetson Bennett IV

Although if it would prevent another season of him looking like Tom Freaking Brady against our defense, it might be worth it

According to BGB on Twitter, Caleb William's list is:

1. USC
2. Georgia
3. Oklahoma
4. LSU
5. Auburn

No particular order.

I know some folks will take this the wrong way, but the fact that we’re included in that list is impressive. At least to me.

@On3sports
Oregon quarterback Robby Ashford plans to enter the transfer portal in the next 24 hours, per @PeteThamel.

Ashford is from Hoover and was supposedly at the open bowl practice.
