I'm betting we see some 4 WR sets this season. We almost have to with the lack of numbers at the TE position

I'm sure we will with the talent we have at WR, but we have plenty of depth at TE. Frazier & Howard have 1 & 2 locked down between the two of them, so at best Walker was going to be 3rd string. Then Davidson and Ghea as freshmen are both good players. Tate Johnson also moved over to TE this spring, probably more of a blocking role.

I hope you’re right. The past 2 years, the offense moved better when they spread everyone out.

Not saying the Maryland TE was any good either, just pointing out that we are lacking in proven talent in the TE room

Fields and Perry both lined up in those spots some during the spring.

Not sure if true, but just saw on FB that we're expected to get Troy QB transfer Matthew Caldwell. says hew threw for 1608 yards with 13 TDs and 8 INTs last year.

We just signed ANOTHER TE from Maryland in the portal and signed 2 HS TEs along with Frazier & Tate Johnson.

So yes we have 5 scholarship TEs.
Ben A. Chases TEs all over the country but never gets any of the big dogs. I don’t know the run blocking of the attached TEs I assume Deal was pretty good but not elite. Rivaldo never became a decent blocker.
I do think Frazier can be a decent player this season. He was much better after losing some weight than Deal but got injured.
All that said Ben A and Thornton gotta show some results on the field and off in recruiting. I’m sure we dropped some bags for Chaplin and Murphy.

I'm cautiously optimistic about Frazier this year. He has always had all the tools, just always seemed to either have a lingering injury and then just could never get in a groove. Sounds like he had a pretty decent spring.
Going to be interesting to see how Davidson progresses throughout the season. He is a heck of a player and about as natural of a pass catching TE as we've had in a while.
