Well hell they may get a new fan or two. Watching Auburn bash its head against the wall for ten years and hoping for something better has gotten old. I love Auburn and have always been a fan but the carousel of us being happy with a new coach for two years before we realize we hired another bum is played out.

100% there with you

There with you as well. And after Harsin and Hugh, I feel you. I have tried not to get my expectations up with any coach until they prove themselves on the field. And I am not all in with Golesh but I have to say that It seems to feel a little different with Alex G. I hope it holds up.

I certainly wont blame him for a 5* receiver leaving after the last couple of years of this shitty offense. If I were Coleman, it would take a lot of convincing to make me stay at Auburn. He is basically getting the exact same promise with Golesh's offense as he was with Hughs. If I had a chance to jump to Alabama or LSU or UGA for the same money, it would be hard to stay on the plains.

Sucks to be an Auburn football fan lately. There’s always hope we don’t go backwards when new coaches come in. At least there’s not much room to go backwards

Towards harsin level talent on the plains.

Because of 3 guys who had little, if any, impact and another who already quit mid-season? That is not justifiable at all.

Trust me, I have my reservations about the new coach as well. Mainly about melding his hard-charging and hard working style with today's entitled athlete making tons of money. Maybe he does fail spectacularly, but to already freak out over something that would take a very long way to go to even get close to the comparison is crazy.

Not if he loves where he’s at. He’s going to be a 1st round draft pick, so why leave.

I think the main factors for Cam are going to be:

A. Going to a program that has a current history of developing WRs in the NFL
B. Money

Really the only pipeline lately has been Ohio State for A - and they just lost the guy responsible for it as a coach. Also Auburn hasn't had a good track record for WRs for like 20 years at this point so anyone that comes here otherwise just likes the place or is interested in B.

If B. then it doesn't particularly matter because Auburn can throw it around with pretty much anyone except the absolute monied elite programs.

Im sure but can you imagine all the coaches in his ear right now. Hell, Bama was trying to recruit him after the Iron bowl on the field.

My gut feeling is that Cam leaves.

Saw a TE from Bowling Green entering the portal, Washington State QB too. Any interest in either?

But we didn’t have 30m this year for a class? I’ll believe that when I see it.

Did you miss the huge fumble by the AD’s stance against holding back NIL promises because he thought he was smarter than everyone else in the country? Yeah, it killed this class in addition with Freeze shitting the bed on the field again.

Uat wasn’t even in his top 3 coming out of high school, and he has no idea who their QB will be next year or how they’d perform.

And how many 5* WRs has Auburn signed in the past 20 years? Can’t make chicken salad out of chicken shite. Burns has clout now being a former NFL assistant.

Oh no I saw it, and I have little to no faith that they won’t find a new way to screw it up again. Perry Thompson just entered the portal so we probably keep cam but losing these guys and acting like it’s nothing is baffling. We don’t have the kind of depth some of you think we do.

New culture, new scheme. There's going to be a lot of turnover in every aspect of this program. We will have a chance to get players to replace the ones we lose.

I wish him luck. I don't have it in me to root against Perry. I really wanted him to do well here.

I hope you’re right. I don’t have faith that money buys automatic success right now when everybody has money.

Feel the same way. He was a big pull in HS and gave us a ton of momentum that class.

Was expected after some stuff he posted after the season. Hope he ends up out of the SEC and does well.

Worth noting too that just because they go into the portal doesn’t mean they do leave. We had a few last year, I think Simmons was one, that entered but then came back to Auburn.
