If Im on Auburn's side of the table, the one thing I dont want is to pay Deuce another big chunk of change to sit and learn......and he walks away next year. I bet you they want him to sign a multiyear deal and thats the sticking point.
His "agent" sees the price of qbs rising 50% every year and does not want a two or three year deal.

Hoke has been tweeting that some changes re revenue sharing rules and contract language will make bailing early more difficult unless new school comps old school
.... If I'm interpreting his tweets correctly.
Ultimately I think that's the right solution. Kids can still transfer but new schools have to essentially buy the contract out from the school they're leaving

It’s what is happening with the Williams kid from UW
The new school has to buy out the other school’s rev share contract-I believe this may be ONLY if the school is not willing to nullify the contract, which UW was not.
The new school’s rev share is also reduced for the next year by that amount.
So with Williams, it would ultimately cost a school about $12M assuming you simply match his UW contract for $4m.
$4m for rev share
$4m to buy out UW contract
$4m reduction in future rev share expenditures
Essentially if you have a kid and there is a mutual agreement to transfer, there isn’t going to be an issue. Where the issue will arise is when the school wants to enforce their rev share contract with the player while the player wants to leave to essentially “shop” for the highest bidder.

If you force a kid to stay against their will I would worry about having a locker room cancer

He has a contract

Nothing could be better than when he screws Lane next year.

Yeah but that doesn’t mean that the player can’t become a cancer. That’s the point.

Move his locker room to a slightly used equestrian stall.
And ask for the playbook back. Until he publicly recants that’s he’s always been a sorry piece of shite and formally begs to see the field one day… and then apologizes for the disharmony, malcontent, and the worthless shite that he’s been.
You might have to pay him but you don’t have to keep the SOB happy.
ETA: It’d be a million dollars worth of good for the rest of the team…. You don’t make waves, cross coach, or air your dirty laundry in public.

We have an elite QB. It will be hard to talk another one to sit and watch. Lew and Chaplin still is our biggest loss.

How is Chaplin a big loss again? Did you watch him play?

He is rated high. Our OL coach was the worst in the SEC. I will give him a pass.

I’ve seen nothing but people glad he is gone. Calling him deaf and whatnot with his 237 false starts this season.
Are we now considering him a “loss?”

Chaplin's issue could have been solved with a silent count.
That's moreso on coaching isnt it?
Dan Lanning said his team went to silent count for the Ohio State game. Why couldn't we?

Well that a-hole Freeze would have had to stop playing golf and praising Jesus long enough to get that installed

Because Jake Thornton should be coaching OL at pee wee football

Williams is staying at Washington

I saw that too. If I were them, I’d pay him, keep him on scholarship, and never let him into the locker room.

The only Deuce to LSU news is a satire twitter account bud.

I don't care what he does. The chances of him having any meaningful snaps at any program is low. The QB crop in state next cycle is good. We will recruit Rivers and take a transfer one more year.
