I thought somebody on one of the boards yesterday said he committed to TT, but last i saw yesterday evening, he still hadn't committed anywhere. also, so far as i can tell, Deuce still hasn't even set up any visits anywhere even after officially going in the portal.

Mizzou DE Nate Johnson
UCLA CB Andre Jordan
Someone fill me in here... Johnson had a good year in 23, a big drop in 24 but still ok, and then hardly anything this year? He battling injuries or did his production just go down?

And that CB just finished his Jr year and has 0 ints...

Seagren committing is another OL officially off the board, but truthfully we should have known he wasn't coming when he left campus... which brings me to my next point of the Oh St OL leaving without committing.. I think we can assume that's another one we missed on. We are like 1/7 on OL targets so far.

Blocton going to LSU.. another of our projected starters who left ending up on a good team. With the way portal DL recruiting is going they absolutely should have just paid him.

I'm not trying to be all negative..a lot of the USF players are good, but the staff needs to step up right now because they are behind in filling needs and tons of players are committing or close to it.

DJ Lagway to Baylor

Looks like we know who we are playing against to open up the year.

And Drago already whopped that arse

I think Ole piss is keeping him warm until Trinidad’s future is resolved. Otherwise I think he returns to AU.

From what I have seen so far, I think that the new staff is driving a hard bargain in negotiations, and this is going to drive a lot of players away.

We will see how this ultimately shakes out, but at surface level you are going to lose a lot of battles when you are playing conservatively in an arena where there are a lot of schools that are doing the opposite.

This is probably not what Auburn fans want to hear, but it seems that they are going about their process and that is that. At some point they are going to need to be the high bidder on a coveted player that they actually want if they wish to land them. Its hard to really tell if they are just being very selective as well.

Yep, looks like at the moment, we're getting our arse handed to us by teams that are willing to pay up. Golesh is gonna have to either abandon this hard bargain idea or at least somewhat compromise on it. if we don't start filling some spots we need badly, he's gonna have a very bad year next year and paying Brown 3.5m is just wasted talent and money.

Meta.. that's basically what I've been saying for like 2 weeks now while being told how wrong I was. The incentive contracts are a nice idea in fantasy land, but when the people we are competing against don't do it, then it puts you behind them. At some point it just boils down to the nature of college football right now is you pay for the players or you get left behind, and they will have to pay it too.

Only difference is, now with a lot of the best already committed.. we will likely be paying for scraps instead of finding the best guys we can.

I hope we are able to tap into some kind of Cignetti-like magic but with the exception of QB it would not be a stretch to say the roster is less talented overall in ‘26 than it was in ‘25 is accurate.

He better figure it out quick. A part of me thinks he has this philosophy because he knows he can always just sign his OL and DL from USF but that won't cut it past this year..... You have to show proof of concept at this level before you can act like Georgia and Ohio St in the portal.

Right, he can't afford to be super picky or stingy with funds this year. we got over 30 players leaving and so far we've only got 12 commits and most of the guys (outside of his guys from USF) that have visited are committing elsewhere.

Looks like Derrick Nix went to the bad guys. :/ Although he's the wide receivers coach and not the OC, he still knows his shite.

That’s what a few people tried telling people from the jump but you seem a little negative and people clutch their Auburn jerseys. I like the WR and QB pickup but outside of that I’m not too sure yet. We’re not lining the trenches up with people like I’d hoped.

New names are popping up in the portal daily. Let’s wait until next week before we go defcon 5. Don’t forget about the teams that are still in the playoffs that will most certainly have a flood of talent leave after their team gets put out.

I mean, yeah, i'm not full on defcon 5 yet, but it's definitely not a good look so far missing on almost all of the guys that already visited.

Did Stanton Ramil & the kid from Howard even visit before committing here?

I will hold off on reacting until the portal closes. But if it were closing today I'd be extremely concerned

That’s where I’m finding myself. We’ve still got time but when that door closes I hope we got a few more in the room.
