I've stated multiple times that I think another one should be brought in. Have a competition and go with whoever wins. I've said that it seems very risky for Freeze to make the decision to go with Thorne next year right now. Especially with some of the talented QBs that entered the portal this time. I don't care about how much money they're paying. I pay my OTV subscription and they can do with the money as they see fit. I don't care if it's a one year rental or not. The money to pay these portal guys will always be there.
But to say that Thorne is a disaster and the offense will not improve with better talent around him and another FULL year in the system is ridiculous. The guy had fall camp and that's it. He already has shown that he can improve.

If you can get McCall under $1 million you absolutely take him
Everybody isn’t going for $1.5 million even though that seems to be everybody’s impression.
The price I heard for Leonard was $500k. Then allegedly ND offered $1 million but there’s skepticism of whether that was real or him trying to get more money out of us.

While the NIL deals are enticing for recruits, its always going to be the backroom deals that gets the signature. And those deals dont get disclosed or talked about. It is what it. Always has been that way, always will.

Let me chime in on this PT/Robby situation as the token black guy on the board :-)
First off, Robby regressed as a runner this season and didn't improve as a passer.
I'll give example.
Sometimes the run requires you to just run behind the blocks and take a hit and pick up 4-5 yards. Robby now tries to bounce everything outside Loses yards or has minimum gains. And the passing? Ewww.
Now as far as PT goes...I think he held the ball a few times and took unnecessary sacks. I think it was a few things to that.
1. He got to Auburn in May, so he was still learning the playbook
2. No trust of the WRs, for good reason. They make NO plays
3. Same for the O-Line.
Since the 4th Quarter of the Ole Miss game, the skillset has been visible. I see it and apparently so does CHF. PT is the guy, he doesn't need to be Superman, he just needs everyone else to do their job.

PT can’t transfer unless he goes 1AA. Holden is a pocket passer and doesn’t fit the RPO offense. Ashford is leaving anyway. Brown isn’t transferring. Auburn was his only big offer. Walker White is coming in.

PT came in as a grad transfer. He can transfer out anywhere and be immediately eligible. I doubt he'd leave before Spring even if we bring a portaller and then only if he thinks or is told he’s lost the QB1 job.
