So we’re finally at the time of the year when we start criticizing “culture” and “coach speak” as if that’s the reason we aren’t winning like we think we should.
Coincidentally, it’s also the time of the year where we historically have seen a once promising season spiral into mediocrity with lackluster on field performance leading to blowout losses to our biggest rivals.

Coincidentally.

Marquel Harrell had the nerve to call the fans "ungrateful" in a tweet

Yeah, I don't care much for that. He needs to be worried about doing his job instead of counting bodies in the student section.

So you dont believe a recruit sitting in the stands who hears fans booing players/team will not notice that?

We had two highly important DL recruits at the game and a highly important OL commit that’s already been flirting with other schools. That was one game I wish they didn’t see.

And Coincidentally our main rivals are pretty good at football so that happens.

How many programs out there could have LSU, Bama and UGA on their schedule right now going into the end of the season and feel good about it?

We are in a bad situation right now where all those teams are at the top of thier game right now and we are not. Its not easy to beat those programs when they are peaking...

Id really love to see us take down one of the last two. Just not sure we have the offensive flow to beat either of them right now.

Not coincidentally because y’all start spewing that shite as soon as things go wrong.

We have problems. Culture and coach speak aren’t it.

@QuelPhew77
To clarify things the tweet where it said “yall so ungrateful and that’s on my momma” was not directed to our fans . I apologize for the misconception !

I have no problem with complaining. Like I said we have problems.

It does irritate me when y’all start focusing on useless bullshite that has nothing to do with our struggles.

I may be wrong but I think he is referring to the constant melt about "coach speak"..Why people give a shite about this is beyond me.

It has zero to do with anything but it brought up like it is some kind of coaching failure and reason we are struggling on offense.

And I agree with him if that is what he is referring to.

Coach speak and culture

quote:

Tim Tebow fricking cried and ranted and raved after a loss to Ole Miss once. Because losing was unacceptable for him and that program at the time. Gus has created a culture of "good enough" at our program and that needs to end immediately or this will certainly only get worse.

This whole paragraph is just complete horseshite. All because a guy tweeted that the fans were “ungrateful”...

Absolutely. Imagine the meltdown Saban would have if he caught wind of a player calling out fans on Twitter. Hopefully Gus still has some balls left to where he had a nice little closed door chat with Marquel this morning.

Are the fans that left or booed ungrateful?

Criticism is ok and I doubt you would find anyone who would say otherwise. Its not ok to whine and feel entitled.. There is a vocal group of Auburn fans that expect near perfection and if they don't see it they want the world to know how unhappy they are.

We didn't play a bad game against Ole Miss.. The defense played pretty good without multiple starters, the offense moved the ball and Bo Nix had over 300 yards passing, DJ Williams almost had 100 yards... We didn't score enough though and its fine to criticize that, but the boo's and the walking out because we are playing a close SEC game is the definition of fans feeling entitled.

I don't mind the defensive guys complaining, they deserve better. The offense, especially the ol need to focus all their energy no getting better
