Is he in a slump?

How do we get more from him?

He must be a good guy and a hard worker. It’s just not happening on offense right now.

I hate it, but he's just not playing well at all. He doesn't seem to be able to beat his guy off the dribbled at all. Then he often picks up the ball in bad places. I hope he figures it out, but right now you gotta roll with 0 and 2.

Hoping it’s just early season transition issues to a higher level of play. We really need everything we can get from our guards.

Watched him takeover games putting up 10 - 15 in quick scoring spurts while at Furman. He completely owned Samford in a game for the regular season championship at Samford 2 seasons ago. Think he went for 20+ in the first half. I wondered how his game would handle the more physical talent he is facing now but really expected him to contribute more than he has thus far. Hoping he gets things figured out before conference play gets going.

Yeah, we’re a whopping 5 games into the season. Too early to write him off.

I think it's confidence/mentality more than anything. The tape shows he has talent.

Sometimes when you're the big fish in a small pond it empowers you to go be that guy. Some dudes struggle to still be that dog when they are surrounded by other great players.

He can beat his guy off the dribble. One time last night he had his defender on skates with a crossover and didn't do anything with it. I 100% agree is a confidence/mental thing. If he can work through it he's going to be alright.

I dont remember how Furman played ball but we might just have a different intensity that he is used to.

This. you can see it in his body language. He's hesitant and thinking instead of just reacting. It's a big change from having the ball in your hands 30 minutes a game to trying to find a rhythm only getting a quarter of the usage. Hopefully he figures it out because we need more than 2 true guards

ITs only 5 games in. I think he is just settling into his role and is figuring out how to contribute. By midseason i expect he will be playing up to expectations

I think last night was a very difficult matchup for our guards… and it was clear when pettiford and pegues were on the court ISU took advantage offensively.

It’s going to take time… there were a couple of times last night when he beat his initial defender but help defense got him… in SoCon those would’ve been easy blow by layups… but not against one of the best defensive teams in america.

Was keeping up in preseason the most I could without being able to watch the scrimmages.. Even in those he basically put up no stats. I knew right then that it was going to be a battle for him.. I hope he gets it figured out, but I don't think we've seen any signs of that since he's been on campus.

If by “not as productive as I thought” you mean that he is not productive at all, then I agree.

I was looking for 10 points and 5 assists.

I hope he sorts it all out soon.

I was expecting more like 6-8 ppg and maybe some timely shot making. Not even close to that level either yet

The way these threads are going I expect Pegues to be nominated for some award soon.

Nobody is beating the guy up.

I just thought he would provide more scoring than he has thus far.

There are 30 something games left.
Maybe he will emerge.

He's learning a new system and we are playing a lot more quality teams compared to what we usually play.

It took Denver Jones and Chaney Johnson until the second half of SEC play to look comfortable.
