Auburn is trying to shore up/build both sides of the lines through the portal. Sprinkle a DB and linebacker or two to give us depth along the whole team.

High dollar NIL money is being used heavier on highly sought after HS prospects thinking they may develop and stay.

A Riley Leonard type with weak Offensive line wont give you the bang for your buck as much as Payton Thorne with an improved Offensive line.

We have Thorne, Ashford, Geriner, Brown and Walker White. I think Hugh is trying to build the future with most of these guys in the QB room/

That is what is happening now!

According Caldwell, you can take Ashford out of that mix. He won’t be back at Auburn unless he changes positions.

Waller tweeted about going fishing this weekend with Freeze and Garrett.
Him being in Auburn to help recruit LJ is huge.

LJ McCray will visit this weekend per Chad Simmons

Holy shite. I figured there was no chance with him at this point. If he's taking a visit this late, UF can't feel too good about it.

Landing one of LJ/KJ would likely get us at or near #5. Landing both would put us top 3, maybe higher. Not saying it will happen, but would be nice.

Waller flips from Florida, Waller is in LJs ear for weeks, KJ lighting up his phone and now a visit. Right you are, Florida must be shatting a brick he is visiting. This close to signing day, sweet day in the morning this is some excitin times on the plains.

Sounds like all those analysts been working overtime before the portal opened as well, this time we had the time to prepare, I expect a lot more solid hits this time.

This is why a transfer QB is worth the money to have a better season, even if it means winning 9 games. A first year mediocre season is forgivable with good recruiting. But if you don’t improve in year 2 and show an upper trajectory, the recruits are going to stop believing in your selling them on the future.

Freeze is absolutely shopping the portal for a Qb, however you are correct that there are more pressing areas we need to shore up in order to field a team that can win next year. Both lines, LB and most importantly the WR and Secondary positions.

I was going to do that scenario but I don’t think I can because of the reclass.

Are you asking if it’s an official visit or not?

He took his official visit to Auburn back in June. It’s also worth pointing out that he’s going to FSU Friday before the Auburn visit in Saturday

You can input in a rando guy ranked ~30 I’d guess to approximate RW

Flipping him and bolden would be massive.

McCray and Amaris Williams to go along with Waller would be absolutely eating Florida's lunch on their D-line recruiting.

That would be so sick.

If it was planned, none of the recruiting guys mentioned it. They were saying Williams was a backup plan, because McCray wasn’t happening earlier this week.
