We have offered DT Derrick Harmon from Michigan State

Harmon appeared in 28 games with 17 starts during his three-year Michigan State career, including all 12 this past season. The redshirt sophomore recorded 71 tackles, including 6.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks, as well as two pass deflections, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Harmon has been one of the Spartans' best defensive players of the last two seasons, and he has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Massive body both height and weight wise. Naturally good athlete who is light on his feet but needs to make sure he does not get too heavy. Actually plays more like a smaller defensive tackle. He is a penetrator with lateral agility who can side-step blockers and make plays in the backfield. Will have to learn to play lower and eat up blockers in college. Has good upside and flashes high-level ability. Must still gain more consistency and improve technically, but has some rare traits.

Sometimes you take a look at another option even when you mind is made up, just to be certain you are making the right choice. An old boss of mine used to call it a neck check "to make certain things were functioning above your neck". ie you are making a decision with your mind and not your heart or emotions.

Outside of one play where he runs a slant and it takes the entire defense to bring him down, they just threw it up and let him go get it.
That's pretty wild for 7A football in Alabama.
