Clemente doesn’t seem to think there is anything to worry about with Coleman but who knows.

He’s not random if he is the same guy from Oklahoma I met about 20 years ago when I was stationed out there. Runs the OKC Auburn alumni club.

Clemson definitely would be random. Haven’t heard Coleman mention them in a long time.

It's not that I don't think we can upgrade at qb. We absolutely can but unless we can find a way to bring in Patrick Mahomes were not winning anything of consequence next year anyway. Is it worth it to spend the type of money being talked about for 2 more wins opposed to spreading it around a little and closing the talent gap we have with top of the conference.
From what I've read I also think Freeze likes Geriner as a future starter, maybe even next season, and is doing everything he can to get him to stick around.

My gut reaction is yes of course it's worth it. Coaches only get so long to show they have things moving in the right direction, both to recruits and fans.
After a little more contemplation who knows, some of these kids probably care about a little more money than playing for a contender so maybe you have a point. I'm just glad I'm not a coach having to try and sort it all out.

I’m not worried about Coleman at all. If he turns down the NIL package he’s bound to get from us there is nothing we could have done.

I am that guy you speak of! And it was about 20 years ago. I'm retired in Georgia now. Serving Middle GA Auburn club as a Board of Director.
The On3 site had 3 threads about Coleman to Clemson, not a subscriber anymore so was curious what was going on.

There was a pic of him like at practice with Clemson sleeves on. Literally it. On3’s board melts pretty hard over every little thing. JLee said nothing has changed from what he’s heard.
ETA: Then in another thread the mods talked about how they text each other and laugh at how everyone freaks out over everything.

Freeze is cleaning up Harsin’s mess with this one. Auburn went with an offer early on this kid and went nonstop after him
Same high school that produced 4* S Terrance Love ( AU), 5* OT Bo Hughley (UGA), 4* TE Jelani Thurman (tOSU), and 4* QB Air Noland (tOSU) in recent years
Clemson has their hands full trying to keep Antonio Williams for transferring, I'm not worried about them getting Coleman.
