We offered him a scholarship? We are basically giving Coleman 2-3 scholarships to come here. Don't think I like it. Next up would be Coleman asking for his friends to get playing time, etc.

The Great Whit Hype Will Hastings was a 5’10 155lb onside kick specialist walk-on and he did okay at WR.

Amazing how everyone gets their panties in a wad about a scholly without the full info it’s like you guys are personally funding every one of them. But yeah everyone’s right here, the staff has got to be discerning who they give offers to. The talent differentials are going to narrow every year.

shite with all the scholly WR's who couldn't catch, I would be fine wasting one to get Cam.

Any chance he ends up back at AU? Not sure what he'd coach but the guy is a hell of a recruiter.

Edit: QBs and recruiting coordinator? Hugh may keep a tight lid on QBs after this year...

I'd give 2 scholly's for just Cam all day with our need at WR. PWO seems like a no brainer for his best bud

From all the chatter that comes up when his name is mentioned, it's my guess he is not welcome back to Auburn, but I have seen nothing of real value that makes that claim accurate.

Red Auerbach, when asked by Larry Bird's agent to put in his contract that the Celtics would pay for Bird's mom to fly to games....took a puff from his stogie and said "I just signed the kid to the most lucrative rookie contract in the history of the NBA....let him pay for his mom".

If Coleman wanted a scholly for friends....let him take it out of his NIL

Not sure why people would be pissed at him leaving. A lot of people wouldn't want to coach under a Malzahn offense long-term. It was purposely uncomplicated and leaned heavily on the zone read. Traded a pocket passing "traditional" QB for a run-first QB... doesn't seem like a big deal.
