What part of your statement makes me not want to go get a portal QB?
I’m completely lost on the train of thought of not going to get a portal QB.
Best case scenario Thorne is an average QB. That’s what we’re striving for?

I think most of us agree on that. We’ll probably need one regardless of what we think of Thorne because of depth concerns. But the goal would be to improve there I’d imagine. Hopefully a solid receiver class will help us lure a QB

Well said Jonesy. If I wanted to transfer and had hopes of the NFL, the receivers arriving would certainly be enticing, particularly the "buzz" it would generate around the program....and the QB.

Jones people read into statements what they want to read. I’ve been saying for weeks that we need a portal QB. Hopefully an improved QB situation.
However I can still be happy with the improvement on offense the past few games against the “bad” teams.

Auburn needs a portal QB no doubt.
But not another average QB to have a fake QB battle that just limits Thorne’s reps in Fall.
If there is a guy who has already shown himself to be a better QB - we should sign him.

We need a portal QB BEFORE summer this time. We struck out or just had bad luck last December. Peyton not being able to learn the offense before like June killed us.

I think a lot of the recruitniks have predicted without officially predicting Cam to AU. Him not going to FSU/UF is big.

Malcolm Simmons had two 50+ yd TDs last night and a strip sack on defense…. Also threw a pick after his QB got hurt.
