to go to the portal for some upperclassmen OL
this is exactly where I would go. Proven, experienced OLs that are one or two years from the draft.

Would love more OL continuity but not sure that’s possible these days with the portal anyway. Bama loads up at OL every year and it’s been one of their weakest groups lately

Still need HS guys for depth. Won’t get 6-7 portal OL in one off season all that often

So true. Could be called the Mater Dei 4 to replace the Dillard 5. The running back is a ‘25 kid correct?

Trying to remember if NCM or Kyle Davis were 5*s anywhere Otherwise maybe Obomanu?

If Obamanu is our last true 5* BrAUther Hue is gonna make our passing offense records look pedestrian. .

Upperclassmen OL

I’ve always thought that since NIL and the portal, we have to recruit guys differently, make a favorable impression, and leave the door wide open when they go elsewhere because they may be back someday.

Which is why it’s puzzling that we don’t have more OL & DL visitors. Seems like even if those position groups aren’t an urgent priority or we’re not high in their lists, we’d have more of the big uglies visiting than we do if for no other reason than to establish grounds for later.

ETA-come to think of it, maybe it’s just a numbers thing. I’m (clearly)not much of a crootin’ guru just enjoying following along.

Oh for sure. Having that portal is a great safety net tho. Chances are Saban will cry to the SEC to have them implement some new transfer rules so it limits our options

Corch, thr running back is Nathaniel Frazier, on3 has him as the second ranked RB in the class and we made his final eight. I dont think he is a realistic chance, I was kidding.....now that OT and DL ooo boy would I like to see them visit.

I already called Freeze to tell him to allocate the remainder of my $34 to a couple of OTs and DTs. Should be happening soon.

Transfer linemen, I encourage you to watch the on to victory interview with Britton. He said they passed 50 times a game, he had proven he could pass block. He wanted a bigger national school, wanted to be able to prove he could run block and block in space downfield. Spent four hours with the coaches and was convinced it was a great fit for both sides.

Asked about run blocking. He said lets face it, a lineman, there is nothing better than being up by 10 with 5 min to go and you walk up to the line of scrimmage, look across the line and think, you know we are gonna run, and I know you know we are gonna run, and Im still gonna plow your arse.

Why Auburn, well besides the aforementioned, we played Auburn. I stood on the sidelines 89,000 screaming fans....and then they let that eagle go. I told my dad after the game....this is what college football is supposed to be...

Yes, yes it is, I hope he has a great season, that we all do.
