The timing of his decision is the main thing that makes me think we are out of it. It’s one thing if he’d already been scheduled to announce but the fact he announced the date right after the Clemson visit makes me think it’s them. It could be that he’d seen all he needed to see from AU and Clemson and had enough info to decide, but that just feels like blind hope

I'm pretty sure that he "committed" during the Clemson visit (hence the confidence from their writers). The new update is that Freeze apparently spoke with him which is where this new renewed confidence is coming from.

Huge risk to go to Clemson and sit behind the young QBs in their QB room. Might find yourself like Brock Vandagriff. Odd man out in a talented roster.
