Feels like we are getting our recruiting legs back underneath us in a hurry. This weekend should give us some serious momentum

All those "you next" and "come home" replies in that tweet made me excited.

Correct. And Shaw inside if we pick him up. The Arkansas kid outside. So will probably only take 1 more so whoever wants in the boat first.

I could see Riddick playing a roll down edge rush with a true edge rusher on the other side as well. Dude is athletic. Not sure he can set an edge on run downs to be a real edge type OLB.

Only damper looking forward for this class is OL and DL. I think we get a couple solid players on each side but we need some difference makers across both lines. I think those come in the ‘25 and ‘26 classes. Then we are off to the races. We should pick up a few transfers on the line of scrimmage. Quality will be greatly swung by if we win 8-9 games. If we win 8 and a decent bowl some transfers will think if I’m there we winning a ‘ship

Pretty good haul for both in last class. If Franklin commits, I’ll feel a lot better about it.

I think Shaw/Simmons is whoever commits first gets the spot, not sure we'll take both. I've heard that Simmons is the higher player on the board.

I really really like Wyatt Simmons upside.

Absolute athlete. I will say he hasn’t been under a top training program. Local school here. To be so athletic already , he still has an extremely high ceiling I would think

That’s why the Riddick commit was huge. That’s going to change the opinion of recruits and the atmosphere this weekend at Big Cat. Could easily see us snagging McCray or Franklin now on DL after a yoked weekend. Should seal the deal with Deandre Carter on OL and hard to think Reese Baker doesn’t pop. That will keep the mojo humming and should pay off

Just think if Freeze was here last year…the Carver duo would probably be getting ready to take the field at Auburn this season.

Corch, I think a few pages back Smuphy had said Franklin was staying the night into big cat. He would be absolute beast for us. LJ would be incredible if we got as well but it sounds like he is staying in state. TJ Lindsey, sounds like leaning our way. So DL will be okay to great depending on the first two.

I think we get a commit or so during the weekend not sure exactly who that will be. The ones I expect to commit from attending BCW are as follows.

Gonna throw my name behind Shaw, Patterson, Carter, Simmons, and Baker. I think we come out clear leaders for all and they should commit leading up to fall camp. Momentum!

That will free up Aldridge and Roberts to start triple teaming some DL prospects. I think Garrett is going to be fine recruiter but gotta get his sea legs under him for a year or so with the big boys.

I’m taking Shaw over the Arkansas kid because 1 he isn’t coming to Big Cat, 2 is a player from Hoover. 3 is taking the top 3-4 linebackers in state.

I remember the turning of the Tide in recruiting to really lean toward bammer and we couldn’t land a quality linebacker. Only guy really missing is Ross and I would think he’s an early edge and probably moves to the 5 tech once he gets some size and game experience. And he’s a true edge guy don’t see him dropping in coverage much like Faulk

Does anyone know where Shaw would go if Auburn passed? Alabama isn’t recruiting him.
