Not limping too bad. Someone needs to teach him how to use that crutch properly-it's in the wrong arm.

he grabbed his right leg when he went down....that is on his right side....its providing support to that leg when he steps...

I step with my right foot and left arm swinging forward simultaneously. Think the OP is right.

From someone who has to use a cane at times, the leg that needs the support is the side the support (cane or in this case crutches) needs to be on...

However, he is not using it properly. Every time he steps (with the side that needs support) the crutches and foot should "hit" the ground at the same time.

I'm not a doctor. But I have had to use support at times to walk for years. I use to walk with the cane opposite the side that needed support until some random old dude came up to me to tell me he had seen me walk with the cane and without. He noticed which side needed support by me walking without the cane and told me I was doing it wrong and corrected me. It's been infinitely better (more supportive) since.

It will be pretty cool to have back to back 30 win seasons. We have 22 right now. Hopefully we can make it happen.

Edit) Just a reminder, last years team is the only mbb team in the state to ever accomplish a 30 win season.

This blows. Would have been awesome to win a third conference title of some sorts in three years. I don’t see how we do that if he sits out 3 weeks.

Very doable if we can do 5-2 over the last 7 regular season games

It will be interesting...

Say we only go 4-3 down the stretch at the worst, that puts us at 26.
We would have to win 2-3 in the SECT and at least 1-2 in the NCAAs.

Its mindboggling too to think we are the first team to win 30 basketball games in the state of Alabama. Even those great Alabama teams or UAB teams...none have won more than 27 I think..and here is the least successful basketball program of the major Alabama colleges w/ 30 wins...and a chance to do it back to back.

Is this basketball heaven?...no it's Auburn. :)

It’s a hamstring, who knows how long it will take they are a horrible, nagging injury that can easily be re-injured. Shame, hope he bounces back quickly.

Also, he needs the crutch on his left side. I’ve got severe back problems and use a cane on the side without the nerve pain running through leg.

Do folks seriously not know how to use a crutch? I've broken my right ankle twice - once requiring surgery and a long/painful recovery. Both times I was on crutches for an extended period of time.

Once I got down to one crutch, I was told/shown AT TWO DIFFERENT DOCTORS OFFICES to use the crutch on the side with the bum ankle to offset the weight it would have received before the break. You then slowly put more and more weight on it as you can take it (once the bone is almost fully healed).

Do we need a separate thread to debate how to use one crutch?

I thought you'd use it on the side of the good leg so that it would be effectively like you had 2 good legs.

I can't believe we're having a debate on the proper way to use a crutch. He did indeed hurt his right leg thus the crutch should be on his left side.
