Auburn preseason camp practice schedule

quote:

AUBURN, Alabama — Auburn will begin preseason camp Aug. 2.

Auburn's slate of practice days and times for the upcoming season were unveiled to former Auburn lettermen in an email correspondence Friday. The schedule has not yet been released to the media or the public, but Auburn Undercover obtained a copy of the tentative schedule.

The Tigers will practice 14 times in 17 days during preseason camp, including a stretch of five straight days to start camp. The team will practice and/or conduct scrimmages inside Jordan-Hare Stadium on four of the 14 practice days, with the first day inside the stadium set for Aug. 8.

It's believed all practices will be closed to the public, as they have been throughout the Gus Malzahn era. Malzahn enters his seventh season of preseason camp looking to name a starting quarterback in the month of August for the fourth time in during his Auburn head coaching career. Redshirt freshman Joey Gatewood and true freshman Bo Nix are believed to be neck-and-neck in the battle entering preseason practices.

Preseason camp ends Aug. 18 with a morning practice at the Auburn Athletics Complex. Fall semester classes at Auburn University begin Aug. 19.

Auburn opens the upcoming season Aug. 31 against Oregon inside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.

Where have these gone? We threw 1 I can remember last season, to Boobee in the bowl game. 70 yard TD.

We could have tried them but Stidham would have overthrown the wide open guy so.

What about our LB group? QB has drawn a lot of attention, for obvious reasons, but what about our head hunters? How are they looking? What’s the projected group?

And how many times were the throws right on target, only to be dropped?

If your QB is off on deep balls, you don’t keep going to it to kill confidence. Just like if your kicker is off on 50 yard plus field goals, you don’t keep trotting him out there to kill confidence and give the other team great field position.

Im sure it was a coaching thing. No way he knew not to over throw wide open receivers. Quarterbacks that are at a D1 school and have played QB their entire life need coaching for that

Too many. But his job is to get the ball to the receivers. Not to overthrow them. If he doesnt think they will catch it, dont throw it.

Look I liked Stidham. But that fricker was broken. Not sure if the O Line, Auburn , Gus, the Fans or his girlfriend broke him but he was broken at times. He missed some throws that any D1 scholarship QB should make.

I hope he does well in the NFL. He certainly has the tools.

Stidham was always dynamite when the threat of getting hit was at a minimum. He got happy feet quite a lot with any bit of pressure.

PI doesn't bother me in the slightest on deep balls. 15 is better than a TD, all day every day. Unless the penalty is changed to spot of the foul like NFL, tackle that bastard if it looks like he can catch it.

In flag football, or when QB's aren't live, he is a HOF type player. Put him live, and give him some pressure, and he looks like me.
