Schwartz has blazing speed.
The most OVERRATED skill in the NFL.
The NFL is big on technique, getting in and out of cuts, route running.
Tyreek Hill is more than just a fast guy. He was an All-Pro punt returner and he's extremely strong, has great hands and great leaping ability.
Now if Schwartz wound up somewhere like KC or LV, none of what I said would matter

Sherwood is gonna be drafted, he could use another year, but I would not waste it on the product we will put on the field next year, better to take his chances now.

Don’t blame any of the 3 if they leave. Schwartz hasn’t shown enough but his speed is obvious. Also to a degree “coming from a Gus offense” seems to be an observation that affords wide receivers wiggle room in the sense that they weren’t asked to do much, so whether they can or not is up to debate which warrants a flyer.
Sherwood has shown enough to get drafted somewhere. Could afford to come back but if Steele is leaving he might as well go on.
It will be nice once our program is stable enough that we can retain more quality juniors. The 4th to 7th round ticket is a payday, but the low hanging fruit for programs that are constantly winning and producing first round picks.

I agree mostly.
These guys have put in the grind trying(especially Schwartz) trying to play 2 sports, refine his football skills. And now to take on an unknown HC and position coach they no nothing about?
Schwartz probably has access to skill trainers that could help him prepare better for the draft and combine, than sit at Auburn waiting to see who is position coach is, then not even being sure we have a spring training...

Indeed. Let's do it.
If the players wanna go full post-millennial, then give it to'em good and hard... 100% change from top to bottom.

Fun fact that I saw today...
Kevin Steele's 2020 salary: $2.5m
Boise State's entire 2020 coaching staff (minus Harsin) salary: $2.3m
Harsin bout to hire a kick arse staff with all this AU money.

saw that too.
He knows he's in money heaven with the budget of his program now compared to BSU.
One intriguing on his hires...Will he cherry pick 1 or 2 staff who are either very good recruiters in key positions, or are good position coaches for what he needs that also have had connections in the Southeast.
The rest will be a mix i feel of his guys he knows from BSU or connected to him in his past coaching years..

A name to watch is Ashley Ambrose as DB coach.
He is a former All-Pro DB. Coached for Harsin for two seasons. Left for Colorado to work for Mel Tucker for two seasons. He didn't follow Tucker to MSU, think he isn't working currently.
He is a New Orleans native, played college ball at Miss Valley St, played for the Saints and Falcons in the NFL.
He seems like a good fit for the new staff.

Sounds like he will be Harsin’s Director of Football Operations to me.

Think that is a behind the scenes type hire. It doesn't look like he is in coaching.

He’s Boise Blue all the way.
Been there since 93.
Hard to move across country after 25+ years at one school.
